Hi there! I realised I'm earning quite some money from my job, and as I'm getting older the amount of money I earn per hour has also increased :) I'll be saving my salary (and also money I get from my parent just because ;p) into a account seperate from my main bank account. This because I think it's time for me to get a actual pc, I never really had the money so I've lived with my current laptop ever since. I used to play Minecraft on my dad's pc and I miss playing with 30+ FPS. There's besides that nothing wrong with my current laptop, I can use it for school and my interests.
Anyways, I've seen pc's better than my laptop for quite a affordable price, so I don't even need that much money :D I was hoping that if you happen to have any tips you could let me know <3

If I'm not mistaking (I searched the internet), building your own pc is after all cheaper than buying a complete one. So I'm not sure, but I do feel like I would mess building one up 'cause you'd probably need to find compenents that all fit together. Lemme know how everything went if you build your pc on your own :) Is it actually cheaper than buying a complete pc?

And if you happen to know where to find a complete pc for quite an affordable price, lemme know. I think I'll be able to spend around €1000.

As always with these threads of you don't want to risk building one but want a cheap and great of go with ibuypower. My pc only cost me $450 and I get 200 fps+ almost all the in mc :D

Building your own PC is definitely less than buying a premade one, as you are also paying for the service of someone building it. I'd recommend building your own, however if you mess up something, then you need to fix it yourself. It also means you will need to troubleshoot it quite a lot. Overall, it would take someone who is inexperienced at this a couple of days to build, including troubleshooting. I will gladly help you in "making" one for your budget, just send me everything you want to include. :]

My dad's pretty smart, so with his help building wouldn't be as hard :)
I'd like to have an Intel i5 processor, I was thinking about the 4670k.
I'm not very good with pc specs yk, but I guess the GeForce GTX 1060 could be an option. If it would turn out to be quite expensive with everything else included I'd say I'd take the GTX 970.

I used to use a three year old laptop , that started to overheat. I'd been saving up, and I knew I needed a new computer. A friend of mine said I should built my own, so I looked up into it.

I spent at least 4 months watching hundreds of YouTube videos, I got used to key terms and techniqhes. To put it plainly, a PC is *piss easy* to make, but extremely easy to mess up. For example, putting the CPU Into the motherboard. This is literally a lock and key, put the key (CPU) in the lock (motherboard) the right way. You literally place it in..... It's Easy...... But if u put it in wrong, or it doesn't go in properly and u close down there lever to hold the CPU in place and u hear a loud crunch, u know u messed up.

My PC took about 5 hours to build, it was fairly easy, but I would give you one main price of advice, u need more than one set of hands! I love my PC, because it looks awesome and it has exactly what I want inside, no junk or pre installed crap, just the games and software I want.

Recently 'ish' a new series of graphics card came out, my advice is to wait a few months for them to go down a bit , in the UK, the GTX 970 is around 230 quid, the GTX 1070 is nearly 400. This is just because of how new it is.

Here are my part recommendations:

CPU: i5-6500
Cooler: Stock cooler (included with CPU)
GPU: RX 480 , GTX 970 or GTX 1060. I recommend the RX 480, all my friends say it's great.
Motherboard : MSI gaming M3, but to be honest, any motherboard with the right socket would be fine.
Storage : Get any 120 GB SSD and a 1TB Hard drive
Case: The NZXT S340 is very popular, also you could like the Corsair Spec 02. But as with the motherboard, as long as it will fit the components inside it will work.
PSU: Pretty much any 550W power supply, it's good to get a nice brand like EVGA as they are quite reliable.
Ram: 16GB DDR4 corsair 2400 ram

I get AT LEAST 400 FPS on 32 render on fancy without optifine. And that AT LEAST , I can easily get 600 (whilst still having Skype, discord, other games and a browser open )

Not sure if I missed anything out, in my defence ifs midnight where I am. A GREAT website to pick components for ur PC is 'PC part picker ' it also makes sure all your components will work together .

My PC used the I5 6500, a Hyper 212 evo, MSI gaming M5 motherboard, 480gb sad, NZXT h440, GTX 970 and either a 550 or 600W modular EVGA power supply. I also have 4 case fans (pre installed with case), and 2 corsair AF 120, and 1 corsair AF 140. It's overkill for the amount of heat produced.

As said by other people, Ibuypower is well known for good price, pre built PCs , but personally, custom built all the way.

For future upgrades, I would recommend a slightly higher Watt PSU. I forgot about ram in my last post I use 16GB, and I'd say that's the sweet spot for ram. Good for gaming, and some editing. Also I'd recommend DDR4, just good for future proofing. Graphics cards are a big debate, pure power and benchmarks I'd say the 1060, but VR can run better on the 480, it all comes down to brand loyalty. With the CPU, it's completely up to how much cash u have to spend.

In the part picker u has the 4790, which is not overclckable , so it seems pointless to have that a aftermarket CPU cooler. If you have the cash to go I7, go for a ****K (K meaning unlocked ). So if she can afford an I7, is go for the 4790K, if she can't go for the i5 6600k, if that's too much, go for the BUDGET KING the i5 6500, that's what I use.

Will you use a 1440p monitor? Will you be playing games in 4K? Will you be live streaming? Answers to those questions should help determine which CPU is best for you!

I do edit videos from time to time, I use Sony Vegas Pro (13) for that. When I tried it first, it took my laptop quite some time (don't remember how long srry) rendering a 1 minute video, so I do hope my new pc will do better than that.
I highly doubt that I'll be working with 4k footage, none of the footage I record with my camera(s) is 4k.
I don't think I will use a 4k moniter, 4k is really impressive but I prefer a fast pc over a fancy moniter. I'll go with either 1440p or 1080p :3

I do often use FL Studio, my current laptop can run it properly but can't handle that much content within the program. I'm pretty sure any pc better than my laptop will do better.

From the sounds of it an i7 is 'slightly' overkill. If you was using 4K footage then an I7 is what you need, but because you won't be doing really CPU intensive tasks, it will all come down to how much you have to spend. In my humble opinion, your best bet is an Overclocked It-6600k, that CPU can do some really good overclocking! Just make sure that you buy the right Motherboard than can support overlclocking!

Attached is a pic of my Setup, including my PC. (Very soon to be dual monitors), the reason why i like custom PC's so much, is cos with a few LED's they look awesome!!
