Java New Reporting System

Why don´t you add a better reporting system? I mean, in Hypixel anyone can report a hacker without leaving the game, and in cubecraft you need to be a rank iron to do that, and if you do not have a rank, when you try to report a hacker you need a video but not everybody records all the games we play, so if we want to report a hacker simply ... we can´t.

My suggestion is that you add a better reporting system, like hypixel, because with the reporting system you actually use is "hard" to make a report and that´s the reason why there are many hackers in cubecraft.


I´m not saying that Hypixel is better, in fact i prefer cubecraft, but the way to make a report in hypixel is a lot better.

It´s just my opinion, i don´t know if someone agrees with me.

Hypixel can have such a system as they have wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more staff. CubeCraft is at this very moment kinda understaffed, so lots and lots of reports won't get handled.
Next to that, stone rankers have had the ability to do /report, but as there way too many reports to handle, so they revoked the /report privilege from stone.

Well hypixel uses another system for their anti cheat. Watchdog will pay more attention to a player If you report him. While a report here will be handled by a human. This plus what @Keanu said makes it that it is pretty hard to make the /reports system better/ for everyone.

You’re comparing watchdog with the report system. That’s something totally different. Watchdog watches players that have been reported by members, Sentinel watches everyone and if Sentinel isn’t fast enough on detecting we have /report. So Cubecraft has more things to fall back on if there are cheaters, while with Watchdog it completely depends on if members feel like reporting

Maybe if people didn't abuse the ./report feature, we could actually have nice things, even tho there are hackers, I still have fun. It does get pretty frustrating tho.

We did trial allowing stone rank access to /report (note this is a convenience feature and not the only way, or even the best way to report). Net result was that the proportion of false reports we were getting from stone rank players just wasn't worth it. Even if we doubled or tripled our moderation staff it would be unlikely that we would reenable access to that command for stone rankers. The best way to report is still https://reports.cubecraft.net which is available to all our Java players.
