Open arena PvP

This is a single server gamemode, so there is no lobby, just one server where you play the game.

Open arena PvP is a PvP gamemode where you PvP in a mine where you gather resources to make weapons and armour in. This means there are no kits, but to make sure starting off isn't too hard, players spawn with a wood sword and full leather armour when they first join the server.
There's an area outside the mine where there is no PvP that players spawn at, which is technically a lobby, but not in the same way as other gamemodes. Players can drop down from the lobby into the mine on slime blocks.
About the PvP, solo and team PvP are both allowed on the same server. In fact its PvP with absolutely no rules (except no hacking of course) you can be as noobish, annoying or hackusation farming as you like.

So do you mean something along the lines of "Survival crossed with kit pvp"? And you spawn in above the map and you can't pvp there?

It wouln't be the most exciting thing ever if this would be the only game on the server, but sure, it can work.

That sounds fun! If they would add a gamemode like that, I hope they wouldn't make it able to buy items with points, because that would ruin the whole gamemode. But if that would be added, I would give it a try

This seems like a good mode for UHC than I guess

This seems like UHC and PvP with Surrvival Games had a baby... No thx we have this theoraticly...

Not rly. Players get unlimited lives and there are no kits, the players themselves gather resources to make weapons and armour.

And you spawn in above the map and you can't pvp there?

Not above, but next to in an area which has a drop between it and the arena with slime blocks stopping fall damage.

It wouln't be the most exciting thing ever if this would be the only game on the server, but sure, it can work.

It wouldn't be the only gamemode on the server, it would just be a gamemode that has a single server for it, rather than a lobby and multiple servers where you actually play it, which is the case with the current gamemodes.

I think if this were to be implemented it would most likely just be added as another armor stand to the FFA section. It reminds me a lot of assassins but you mine instead of collecting chests and coins. This also means that it would have some people getting op gear and just camping the server for ages :p
