Permanent Mutes (Read the whole post)

Hi!

So, I was wondering in staff help of discord in cubecraft one if the mutes that are perm can get unmuted in anytime if their appeal has been denied and the staff who muted him/her didn't accept. Basically, it's really annoying to have a mute and try to explain someone the words you are trying to say, sometimes they don't understand and they just leave you so it's very bad for everyone

I'm trying to do this suggestion for if in the future staff can unmute people that have been a long time with permanent mute. Since the people should be not happy with that mute... I don't think people would do it again when they did suffer a mute like that long.

This can make a lot of others cubecrafters happy like me. And other people that have been permanentmuted and denied their appeal and the staff didn't accept him or her.

Please, be honest if you want it, not everyone deserves a mute. It would be better to have a happier community. Hope you vote yes.. :) Thank you for reading.

Actually yes, when players get muted they deserve it because it is part of the rules to not say certain things. If someone is muted, then it is their fault for saying the thing that they said. I do agree that a perm mutes harsh and why it cant just be a year or something, but honestly they said what they said. And if you think they will never do it again after they were perm muted, wrong. The mute system isn't just a perm mute right away, I myself have never been muted, but its a little bit before you get to perm and if they get all punishments before that, then it seems fair to have them perm muted. Also this doesn't seem like a suggestion rather than a question. Question answered.

Yes, it's maybe their fault. But it's not nice to be muted all the time, when you can't tell people something they won't understand u. Some servers just do it. So that's why I did suggestion

In order to be muted permanently, you've got to be muted at least once before. If you get perm muted, that's your own fault for still not respecting the rules.
From time to time there is the occasional player that gets unmuted after quite a long time, but it's a rare occurrence.
Contrary to what you believe, perm muted people deserve to be muted for breaking the rules again.

ive been perm muted. i dont have a problem with my perm mute but people do harass me in ffa and i cant say anything to them back because im perm muted and reporting them would be a waste of time

We already do this. If your appeal is denied, you can try messaging the mod who muted you either on the forums or on discord. Keep in mind that the decision to unmute you is entirely up to them. You can see who muted you on the appeals site (appeals.cubecraft.net)
For the discussion about permanent mutes, they are entirely necessary. Using chat is a privledge, and if you can’t be trusted to respect that privledge by following our rules, then you will lose it. The permanent mute acts as incentive. If we only gave out short mutes, then no one would really care. But with a bigger consequence people tend to follow the rules much better. Take teaming for example. Before the change, it was 1 day ban for each offense, it never stacked. I’ve seen people with 7+ bans for teaming since the punishment was so small that they didn’t care. But now tha there is a possibility of a perm ban, you see less people teaming over and over again.
The best part of all is that if you don’t break the rules, you won’t have to worry about a permanent punishment :p

Some people would just move on and spam/swear on other servers. Its there own fault because they had warnings and then another 1+ chances, before getting perm muted. (Also if you want us to vote, where's the vote menu? :P)

Bots getting a permanent punishment is self explanatory. No server would allow bots to advertise another server and it's not like people would make use of bots on other servers not knowing that there is a rule against advertisement.
Targeted insults like that only grant a temporary mute as far as I'm aware, and there are no warnings required if it's considered hate speech.
