Hello!
I really do not know how to do an intro, so Imma' get right into this thread.
I've been playing Cube nearly every day for the past 91034783264023 months (im joking, if you can't tell) and I've been noticing a lot of things that either just need plain improvement, or just completely tick me off.
Here's what this thread will include:
Sky Wars is a lovely game, with many maps and game modes. It's most definitely the most popular game on the server, other than Egg Wars, and it most definitely has its perks! But, let's look around the wonderful time we all play on it, and look at stuff that needs to be improved.
1. Spacing: The spacing between islands on maps varies throughout each map. Yet, let's look at the maps that are nearly 20 to 30 blocks apart. Map Flowers, Nether, Drought, Castle, Canyon, definitely Music, and Paris are all WAY too far apart from each other. With nearly two to three chests at most on each island, it sometimes is very hard to get a lot of blocks. I believe that they should be moved just a tiny bit closer.
(I had a whole lot of other ideas in my head, and while writing this, they all went POOF. Imma' edit in the rest, later XD)
Let's get into Egg Wars!
Egg Wars is most definitely a slow-paced thrilling game, but it is also very cool and the amount of tactics you can have are unbelievable! Yet, there are some things that aren't so good about it.
1. Diamond Generators: On each island, there is bound to be a diamond generator somewhere. Whether you are playing team or solo mode, you can always find one nearby. Yet, finding one, is the real hassle. I play Egg Wars a lot with friends, and sometimes when I can't remember which map we're doing, we waste at least 10 minutes of our time looking for our diamond generator, only to find out that it's on another island, out of eye sight from our main island with our egg. I suggest a main diamond generator should be spawned on every main island, either being broken, or level 1.
2. Chain Armor: Let's face it, it is almost rare to see people wearing chain armor. I hardly ever see anyone with chain armor, plus, it's just a waste of gold. Maybe remove it? I don't know.
3. Fireworks: Whenever you upgrade a generator, there is a particle affect where fireworks burst from the generator to signal it has been upgraded. (true?) I have one of the most high definition gaming computers, good internet, and amazing fps, yet whenever this firework-explosion happens, it just drops like flies. My fps drains incredibly, and if there are enemies there, you lag like crazy. (and then get accused of hacking, because you spam W to move around, and it looks like you're glitching across the screen -.- *cough* sorry) There are many suggestions to fix this. 1, turn off particles. (A friend and I tested this, we upgraded one generator with particles on and got the same lag. We went to the same map afterwards and upgraded it again without particles, still got the same lag.) I think there should be an in-game option to turn this affect off, or maybe just die-down the amount of fireworks used.
[Edit ] Both Sky Wars and Egg Wars
Towering: Towering should be banned. I feel like it's the same thing as camping. Someone stacks 20 to 30 blocks in the air, you can't just leave them to get even more stuff. It's only common sense to go after them, right? Wrong. You stack up to them and whoop! They jump down and knock you right to your death either by fall damage or falling into the void. It's so annoying. This should be banned.
Let's get into Minerware!
Minerware is so fun to play (in my opinion), with many games and it is always fun to see yourself in the top three at the end of the game. But, there are some things that could be updated to make game play fully enjoyable!
1. Moving Around: In Minerware, unlike any other game, you have the ability to push people (thanks to the update). This is so annoying, in my opinion, because it's literally one of the only games you can do so. When playing the mini game where you dodge the anvils, (spoiler for a good tactic if you think this one is impossible) I have a tendency to look up. This almost always works to win that round, unless someone literally knocks into you and pushes you into a falling anvil. This affect where you can move people around should be removed.
Let's get into the Aracade!
We can't lie, the Arcade has once been an amazing place, one of the most popular genre of games on the server. In my opinion, it all went down hill with the last update. (This is all my opinion, I'm just stating how I feel)
1. Dead Games: Every new game that came out were very lively at first. Key words, at first. Then, the amount of players just drained very slowly. Now, we have two games that are popular. Layer Spleef, and Line Dash. Every other game is basically dead, included the Mixed Arcade. Barn Brawl has literally no players on, included with Wing Rush. I don't know how to fix this. Maybe add back some of the old Arcade games? Surely they haven't been deleted. Maybe.. Quake Craft and Parkour Minigame?
2. Parkour: The Parkour in the main lobby of the Arcade is literally impossible, with the one around-the-corner jump. It would be possible if there wasn't a gap between the wall that blocks you from jumping. I say make it easier.
3. Old Arcade: Literally, bring back most of the old Arcade games. They were original, fun, and popular.
Sentinel.
Sentinel has worked super fine before the older update. Yes, it has some flaws, but it is a computer, and still needs work and updating. I made an earlier thread about this, but I guess I'll state it again. Sentinel, now, is merely catching the small hackers; via hacks with glitching a half block higher, a small kill aura, b-hop, etc. Sentinel doesn't catch the hackers that have the major hacks. Yes, as Sentinel gets better, so will hackers. But it doesn't mean Sentinel shouldn't catch the ones that are literally zooming across the map with speed hacks, or flying to the skies with fly hacks, or their heads are literally having seizures with kill-aura. Maybe this needs to be looked into, because it's kind of getting to me.
Length of Bans, Mutes, Etc.
Players being banned and muted for the first time should be lengthened, in my opinion. For teaming or hacking for the first ban you get, it's one day. One day will not stop players from hacking, teaming, etc at all from doing it again. I suggest the first ban should be a week, then the second a month, then the third perm. Mutes are kind of okay in my opinion, because they are rather lengthy.
Bans, Mutes, etc.
What I have noticed whenever I report a player is that it normally gets denied. I guess this is normal for any given player. Yet, I have noticed that sometimes (im not blaming any1 right here) the reasons given why they aren't punished are very, well, bland. What I commonly see is 'It's not sufficient evidence,' but I am suggesting the staff take time to explain why to actually give us a sense on how to catch a real hacker? It would honestly be so much help, since sometimes we're literally left in the dark.
That concludes my thread of mini-suggestions. Again, these are all things that have been lingering on my mind, and I am not dissing anything here. Lemme' know what you think.
