I have about 300-ish wins, and am grinding for leaderboards. But I always get discouraged because I don't know my current position. If for example I knew, "Oh, I am 217th and 216th is only 3 wins away, let me play for 10 more minutes" It would increase people actually playing because they have reachable goals:
  • Pass the player in front of them.
  • Be in the top 1000, 700, 500, 100, etc.
It would also be more fun to play because again you can set yourself small goals and then the ultimate goal being leaderboards. Obviously this is coming from somebody who wants a spot on the top 50, but it can also motivate other players who just say want to be in the top 100, or top 500.

Plus it gives people some sort of pride and bragging right. xD

Sincerely,
Chr7st

A way of progress for them grinder gamers could indeed be nice.
Maybe some sort of percentage behind your wincount? *Wins: 300 (Top 10%)* or something like that would be cool.

The problem with that is it is a little bit unspecific. If I were for example aim at top 100, I could check who is #100 and when I am 1 win away from passing him I can like record the game or something, if it only said top 10% you'd never know how close you are.

Thanks for the comment though,
Sincerely
