Java Bedrock Denied Regions

Hello,
So my idea is that you can see which region the game is before you join it.

As you can see in the imagine there is

Map name
Players waiting:
current games:

and my is to make it like this
Map name
Players waiting:
current games:
region:
for the region you can maybe put like Europe or maybe the /whereami code

This suggestion is great, but what happens if there's two current games for the same map (aka two different server) and both of them are in two different region? Showing both region would means you need to select the region you want. Because if the maps where the player are waiting is not the one from your region, the server will make you join the one with the less waiting time to play.

Cubecraft already decides the region so that can stay. If it just puts you in one of the two, its ok. Maybe the one where you lag the least.

Great suggestion! I agree 100%. Whenever I'm playing earlier for me its hard to find NA maps, kinda frustrating that you have to keep joining different games until you find one. This would make it much easier to find a game in ones specific region.

Their current matchmaking system depending on the region actually put you in games where you will have the least waiting time no matter if it's your region or not. I don't think this will change, if NA players play very late at night or early in the morning it looks logical that they will join EU games since it's the games where you will have more players and then will let you play more interesting games with maximum players in the specific map. I often play on NA servers as a French person and I actually like that even if my ping is indeed higher than normal.

They can still keep that, like for example i'm eu around the night there are more na than eu servers for example there is a eu server and a na server they put you in na lobby bcs it fills faster then they can just put on the game menu thing that you are going to join the na server cus that is going to fill faster. Right? It is just for information that they should add it, bcs now you have to join to know what region it is. If it is not the preferred region, you have to leave. This will just finding the right game easier.

When you join a game you have a message saying that in the chat. They already tell you that they made you join a server from another region than yours due to the fact it will get filled faster, I don't see the need to put it in the menu to join it. And if you get the message there's a very high chance that only NA servers are open (except for FFA) so joining won't be useful especially if you join late at night.

I know that you can see that put the whole point of this thread is that you can see that before you join the game? bcs some people when they see they joined on another region they leave instant, so if they see that it's another region they won't join the game. but anyways it doesn't matter tbh it's your opinion i prob can't change it. so i'll accept your unsure.

It's a really good idea. Seeing this on the server will make our job easier. It's a waste of time to join the game and see what region it is in :/

Hello Lightson_,

Your suggestion was discussed within the server team, and we have decided to deny it.

We were mostly worried about development time, as the possibilities of this working flawlessly would be very low. We checked some data to confirm our suspicion, and it seems like we have only about 4 hours a day when there are 2 regions about the same size. Every other moment of the day there is only one region being prioritized over the others.

Another issue we noticed with this, is having to add an extra menu so that players could choose what region they would want to play the map on. We don't think it would be worth making such a complicated system, since the gain of it is minimal when you can just do /whereami in game.
