Removing the infamous Punch Bow from Egg Wars

After reading a lot of threads about this, especially from @Nobody. I have finally understood why the punch bow is so annoying. I played a game with @Anmazing and @TheJeroen and within 15 minutes, everyone had punch bows and were way too scared to attack. Camping is just the only way to win this game now and the Punch Bow is extremely OP. Now, I propose two suggestions to nerf this item. Either make the price very high, but the downside is it could promote camping even more and it will become just like diamond armour, or just remove it once and for all. If you agree with the prise raise, obviously some modifications will be required because people will still camp so they can buy it. The Punch Bow is the key to camping and if a player manages to get it within the first 10 minutes of the game, it can be such a nuisance. Answer the poll and tell me what you think should be done to the 'infamous punch bow.'

I love the punch bow, and i always will do, I don't use it for camping, i use it to make sure someone is hacking (e.g if someone runs across a bridge, and a punch bow hits them, it will pretty much always hit them off!

With punch bow, I can kill a entire team by shooting them off the island, and I know how to dodge arrows and block arrows, so I seldom get shotted off.

Eh. It's fine for me, but others may have different opinions.

I quite like the punch bow, but I can definitely see where it may go wrong, and why people may not like it. Problem with it is that it is cheap, therefore increasing the price of it may stop the persistence of bow spamming.

Sounds like the people complaining about punch bows are just bad at comabting them. You can get shields. Also its about using the playing field correctly and gaining higher ground. Melee fighting isnt everything in minecraft. Its the complete package, use the tools at hand to win, don't play to how somebody elsewants you to play, thats just silly.

Punch bows are a very useful tool
- You can knock a camper back for like 3-5 seconds and bridge 2 blocks further, increasing time every time you advance
- Bowspamming is bad, I know, we all do. But when you're getting attacked by 4 people at once with the same gear, it's just WAY easier to use that
- Spleef is good, but allot riskier.

Plus removing it would give the developers allot of hate since it may have been a playerss only way of winning

It isnt the first, second or "hundredth" post asking to remove punch bows... I think they will not remove it, once it is an important item to so many strategies, not only to defense. It would be very easy to win any game if there is no punch bows. You just get mid first with your team and get full iron, then raid other teams with bridges a lil high. Maps like that one with End team (its a solo map, forgot its name) would be too boring. Melee knockback isnt that useful in 1.9 PvP. Especially in OP mode.

Also, bow spamming will not stop with the removal of punch bows. Spamming power bows can be almost as bad as spamming punch bows.

I think I said it in several other posts like this one, but again: melee is not the only skill you need to win an eggwars game. You need to play smart and have different strategies to each map, game mode and even position of your island. "Playing smart" includes taking advantage and being careful with the bows and pickaxes.

You dont have to ask to remove something just because you dont like it... Work arround it.
I hate diamond armor, especially in 1.9PvP because it takes too long to break it, and teams that camp all game and farm enough to get 2 full diamond sets are way too annoying to deal with. So I work arround it with buying only full iron sets and spending my diamonds on enderpearls and my gold on tnt :D When they are too annoyed with me escaping and decide to come after me, I use punch bows to make them fly away.

Conclusion:
It has shaped eggwars as it is now. Removing it would be hated by many and it's also one of the few easy ways to kill someone in OP without relying on armour durability .

God no, in op eggwars the punch bow is a must as the alternative is gear breaking which is a nightmare with diamond gear and even more so with backup diamond gear also if you want it remived that bad buy a shield, also its only useful for shooting people off if people are camping, then power bows become the priority
