There's a reason they deny reports with labymod.. It's because you can use it to fake evidence of someone swearing, etc, by changing someone's name into their name. They don't deny the reports just because...

Ye, maybe when u report someone who is swearing, but I reported this guy for exploiting. There's no way I can make a fake report of someone who is exploiting. It's ridiculous that they deny this report for such a thing like that.

You can change names using LabyMod, right? In some versions, you can't see the pencil next to the nickname if you've changed a name, which is the reason why you're not allowed to report users using LabyMod. So, a while ago @Priley created this suggestion and @xRabbitGaming created this suggestion, which were my source of inspiration to create this suggestion thread. My is suggestion is that if a user gets banned for the use of illegal clients, and someone made a report with clear evidence of the user cheating, the link of the YouTube video should be added to their appeals page.

Q: But why?

A:

• If this gets implemented, less people would complain about a false sentinel ban, because there is clear evidence, which means that moderators have less work to do, so that they have more time to play with friends, to study, or to do other things. Anyway, if this suggestion would be implemented, less moderators would get headache because of kids that claim to be banned falsely by the anti-cheat.
• Imagine this scenario: User 1 cheats, and gets banned by sentinel. This is their first ban for cheating. User 2 reported them for cheating, but they were too late because sentinel banned user 1 before the report was handled by a moderator. User 1 gets a ban that lasts 7 days. But, if the evidence of user 2 would be used to ban user 1, user 1 could get a ban that lasts 30 days, which has more impact on user 1, so that they might stop cheating in the future.
• This would cause a fewer amount of useless appeals because players want to be unbanned fastly; 30 days is not nothing.
• LoonyRules would get less fake appeals about sentinel bans in this inbox.
• Less players would cheat on CubeCraft, so this server would be a better place for anyone who'd like to join.
• This would cause less toxicity! Less cheaters means less angry players that quit the server because of the cheaters.

The color of the text could be dark blue (HEX code: #13137A), but you can decide whether that's a great color or not. Anyway, it should not be green, yellow/orange or red, because that could cause confusion.

What would happen to the reports counter after a report is marked as 'added'?

A: 1 handled report would be added to the reports counter, just like what happens when you get a handled report. The reason: Normally, the player would get a ban that lasts 7 days, but now, the player gets a ban that lasts 30 days. The reporter was the one who made that happen, so in my opinion 1 handled report should be added.

Q: What would happen to the cheater if they already have 1 ban by a staff member, and they get banned by sentinel and there was a player recording the cheater?

A: They would be banned permanently, just like what happens when they get banned twice by video evidence.

Bump. I am still wondering why this hasn't been added yet. I mean, players who obviously have hacks get banned by sentinel for only one week, while if you get banned by a moderator you'll get banned for one month! You guys also want to catch and keep the hackers out of the server, right?

This is a really good idea. I have many times that someone is hacking like blatend and i dont report them because he will get banned by the anti cheat and it takes a long time to record and report the player. Now it will take the same time but when you report him it would not be for nothing. One quistion if your report gets added does this add as a accepted report or as a denied one?

I think this would take a lot of work off Looney’s shoulders because if you have actual evidence, the case becomes the moderation’s team responsibility.

But you'd have clear and obvious evidence in some cases so your work would be easier.

Err not sure how much I can say without leaking but when you get notified about false positives, i’m sure that some/many of them remain banned because you concluded they really cheated. I’m also sure that there are some doubtful cases and with evidence provided in both coding language and videos, you have something to back it up with, making the chances of a doubtful case less likely. It’ll also decrease the false positives you have to go trough (if reports are being done first).
