Dudeeee I love this map!! I think it'd make a great addition - it's perfectly balanced for both close-quarters and long-distance combat, and both starting islands are distinct yet evenly balanced. The map will also have a guaranteed appeal on release, since it's inarguably the most popular Black Ops map of all time. The manniquins create a really interesting dynamic, too - easy, one-time armour upon respawn, and a very accessible way to store backup armour for immediate equipping.
I think my only criticism of this is aesthetic: the bottoms of each segment need work, so that they each resemble actual floating islands that have been pulled from the ground. Otherwise, I think CCG would be crazy to pass on this map.
Pros:
-Instantly recognizable
-Interesting gameplay dynamics (e.g. mannequins, centralized buildings that overlook middle)
-Excellent easter egg potential that could reward avid fans of Black Ops (e.g. putting an RCXD car easter egg out of bounds, past the gap in the fence; any Black Ops fan will know what I'm talking about)
-Balanced yet distinct spawn areas
-Camping will not be an issue, due to the large size of starting areas and their close proximity to middle
I understand that many other servers have this map themselves, and that CCG likes to be original. However, from a gameplay perspective, I believe it would be a mistake to pass on this map. Besides, we have a Counter Strike map in FFA; why shouldn't Team Skywars get what is arguably the most popular map in FPS history?
Edit: Suggestion, perhaps the RCXD route could be implemented, attaching the two starting islands? Would be interesting to consider how this affects gameplay.
Also, I think 4v4 / 6v6 game sizes might be more fitting, both as a reference to the source material, and because 8v8 matches would probably struggle to find enough players to start.
Also, this would definitely make a cool Eggwars map, too!
