The Report System

I've been looking at the new report system and I think that it's a much better way to punish hackers.
The only problem I have with it is that you can have videos up to only 5 minutes. Some people recorded
their whole game but gave a time stop to make the report go quicker in the old report system. Now, some
people need to edit the video (which takes a long time) to make the video valid at all. My suggestion is to
allow any length of a video but make it required to include the time of when the hacker is shown. It would help
both the mods and the reporters.

Cutting the video doesn't take much time at all as long as you know how to do it. I think the reason to set a max amount of time, is because long videos would take up much space in the system.

I support this idea. I record all my games and find it a pain to edit the videos. It would be easier if they just added a compulsory section in the report for a timestamp to be specified.

@xx_360noscope101 people will make the same mistake over and over. It was happening to much, that is probabaly why they made a maximum, or because of what Maestro said.

I support this not every1 can record so maybe is the /report better staff will get a push to watch him and so can we keep the server clean it wil cost time for staff but if there is enough than is it not a problem

/report was being abused, so it got removed. Btw, staf cannot join In Game when the game has already been started. that is how the system works.

The /report system was so heavily abused that staff members could not be left alone. It will never come back.

Why? Just deal with it, it takes around 2 minutes to cut and save the video. I really don't see the problem.

I always leave open the video editor when I'm playing, when I find a hacker I move the video to the editor and I cut the irrelevant part. It doesn't require much time... Only 1 min. I think that if they put this length is for any reason, maybe some players, before the new system, uploaded long videos without the evidence second, and the moderator had to see the entire video.

I don't think everyone agrees with that. Some aren't as good as others and it wouldn't take too long to figure out the time stamp rather than editing it.

@YounB made it pretty clear in this thread that you've got to deal with it, because it's easier for staff to find the evidence of the hacker. And why would there be a requirement so people are able to upload longer videos when cutting a video doesn't take longer than 5 minutes in Windows Movie Maker? It isn't that hard or you'll have to practice with it.

The solution that they found it's put a maxim length instead of forcing players to put a minute. I don't think this is a bad solution.

Some people don't know how to edit or they cannot edit for some reason (I'm pretty sure I've seen that happen but I'm not 100% sure so don't quote me on that). Some people like to save as much time as possible to play and I'm also sure that most people would think that anything brief would be better than anything long. This is not completely necessary but some people would love to spend the time that they're editing to time playing in an actual game.

I think we can agree everyone can spend 5-10 minutes editing their videos and give the staff who still have to go through a boatload of reports the easier end of the deal.

Yes, because everyone who submits a report will take the time to see where the hacks are obvious and submit a valid time stamp.
