Java Tower Defence needs /report trolling.

Hi everyone. I know, this topic has been suggested a lot of times and yes, I am talking of Tower Defence.

¿How many times have you been angry about this troll community?

Maybe if you have played tower defense you have found this type of player, that many times, I am aware that they can be people who do not know how to play, but many others can be trolls.

¿Did this happen to you?

This is somewhat frustrating, because they put some towers in an erroneous way, I mean, they put the towers using double space, or maybe using 4 spaces, and sometimes they place 2x2 towers in 5x5.

But, how to fix this?

When a player leave from the game, everyone (of the team) can remove his towers. my suggest is:
- be able to kick players, is if there are 6 people in the team, it could be by votes, and if there are 4 votes or 5 the player could be kicked and the command could be "/ votekick" WARNING: (THIS CAN BE ABUSED)

- be able to report for "TROLLING": how you know we can't report for trolling.

those are the only options; if we report for trolling a staff member may check the player and follow the punishment track:

This could replace the / votekick command and prevent it from being abused.

in summary: add /report (nick) trolling so that a /votekick is not abused and the players are not affected in the games by troll community. And this can be used in other games like team eggwars, than you can broke the obsidian or something like that.

I'm voting no because I rather see a different soloution. Most of the trolling cases are people who place towers in the wrong spots. Why do people do this? Either they don't know how to play the game or they just want to be annoying and troll. The solution is pretty simple: make it impossible to place 3x3 towers in 5x5 spots and the other way around. They should also make it so the tower is placed in the middle of the spot automatically. "My" idea has been suggested before, but I still think it's a better way to solve the problem.

I think it is hard to develop, and report for trolling can help to another games like eggwars. Your idea is nice but i don’t think if developer team can add it, and what if that player place a lot of archers lvl 1 and he doesn’t upgrade? Thank you for your opinion ;)

Did you even read my post? If you're not able to misplace towers, this won't be a problem.

Tower Defence needs an update and "my" idea would be really helpful. It can't be that hard to add as there's already a system that doesn't allow players to place towers outside the spot.

To add, /reports are not immediately handled. When a staff member comes to spectate the player, there’s quite a big chance the player is in a new game.

You’re right but Tower defense are longs games, if you’re lucky a staff member can spectate the player. Thanks for you opinion. ;)

If you’re lucky yes, but see it from our side. If this gets added we will get more /reports but when we check it we often will not encounter a troller. This kinda is waste of time, especially considering when we can barely handle the current amount of /reports.

No form me, because they can just be noobs or dont know what they are doing, but if they are trolling then its not that big of a deal + being punished for trolling hust because you placed a tower in an annoying place is just... you know what i mean, like what if it was one game or two then its just not enough to get punished...

Usually I do not agree, people could use the votes inappropriately, if in a tower defense team there are 4 of the same Party and one that has nothing to do with it, it is enough that the Party finds out it is troll to unfairly cast to some player.

What if they did so you can only Place 3x3 Towers on 3x3 plots. Then that wouldn't be a problem.

Not knowing the rules is not an excuse. If so, you could say that about everything. "I didn't know skybasing wasn't allowed". A warning isn't the end of the world, it's just a way to warn a player that something isn't allowed.

It may be hard to develop but it's the best option I could possibly think of. /report trolling wouldn't fix your suggestion, it would just make the 'trollers' or new players more likely to be punished for the misplaced towers, while an automatic placement in the right spot would actually fix the problem.

If you decide to record them and warn them while recording, it would be a lot easier and more obvious to staff. They will know how to punish that player if you decided to report them on website. Moreover, English is not everyone's language so I think it's a little bit abusive to judge people from the start.

Before reporting someone, ask them if they speak English or what language they speak. If they don't reply, feel free to report them. I usually use google translate when they reply telling me their language. :)
