Tower Defense Competitive League
First Cubecraft Community-Run League
League Information
The league runs all through discord and is remarkably organized in this way. It may not look as organized through this document, but in matter fact it is.
League Setup →
TDCL casual and competitive scrims are best out 3
Required Games → Each week management will hang out an assortment of required games. Required games must be complete that Sunday at 12:00 pm EST. Required games are called competitive. Each time you win a competitive game you gain 3 points. At the end of the season, the teams with the most points will be put into a playoff bracket.
Casual Games → Casual games, usually obey the gameplay restriction of comp games. Basically its two teams playing each other but is unofficial and doesn’t mean anything to the Playoffs or League points. Casual Games are not assigned by management and are settled together by team leaders. Either using the leader chat or other external methods.
Pub Games → Pub games are simply, games that have nothing to do with the league and are just regular Tower Defense games.
League Functionally →
How this is gonna work? → All team leaders will be required discord. The whole league is run through the discord in fact. If it has been clear yet cube craft has no way of setting up private servers. This doesn’t stop us from making a league through. All team leaders will be required to have gold rank +. This is so, you can have a party of 6 players. Now, once both teams are in a party, team leaders will communicate through discord to get into the same game. This is done by right-clicking select a map, choosing one with 0 players in the queue and both teams joining at the exact same time.
Hazards → Due, to the more rather complex way of getting into the same game this puts many restrictions on the league. For a matter, in fact, it is ideal for competitive leagues to ban maps from being played. This just can’t be done due to the lack of lobbies available for us to use. The reason map banning would be ideal for Tower wars is because some maps have paths that are longer and some maps have paths that spilt into two different sections. Also, maps have different placement of the 5x5 tower spaces which when it comes to competitive play and strategy is a very critical value. Unfortunately due to the circumstances cube craft gives the players it just not possible for TDCL to limit the maps for the better of the league.
Gameplay Restrictions / Voting → There will be more to add in this area once we set up our advisory team. For now, Survival Mode and QuickStart Mode are restricted from all TDCL games. In competitive play, the higher rank team will vote on the pricing, while the lower rank team votes on mode. In casual scrims, teams can agree to play this way or can agree on other methods.
