Hello guys! I'm Opeiko. I have a YouTube channel, I'm on 2 skywars leaderboards and I'm the worst player ever basically.
So, let's get started now that you know me.
On Cubecraft, they do not punish people that are sending death threats in dms, private chats on any platform other than the minecraft chat.
I think that's very wrong.
Cubecraft should be a safe place for everyone to play, and people shouldn't be open to the idea of getting toxicity and death threats thrown in their way. If I were to get alot of toxic people to DM me and threaten me (which I have, many times), I wouldn't enjoy it if I was lets say 7 or 8 or even 9 or 10 years old. Heck, even 16, as I am right now.
I think CubeCraft should punish people which are going against people in the community in private chats or dms. This includes mostly the Xbox app.
Recently I reported a person for sending death threats and toxicity in chat on Xbox. Xbox is a place where people can send direct messages to basically anyone, as long as they know their IGN. I believe that game chat and Xbox chat should be quite equal, because they're literally about the exact same thing.
If a person can prove that another person is toxic or sending threats of any kind on Xbox chat because of Minecraft, they should be punished equally just like they said it in chat. It's the exact same thing, just a scared way of going bananas on a player.
Before you argue ''you can just turn your privacy settings off'' or ''just block them'', I might have to remind you that Minecraft and ESPECIALLY cubecraft should be a protective server and shouldn't just let it be okay just because of where the messages are.
If he said the same thing in chat, staff would've banned him or muted him a long time ago.
Most kids playing this game, and most people in general have privacy settings on open on default, allowing all sorts of messages to come in. I don't believe that's right.
Which chat they're toxic in shouldn't matter, just like there's no difference between sending a death threat on messages on phone and saying it irl.
Under here is a rule of the Cubecraft Discord:
4.13 - Threats and harassment in private messages
Do not threaten or harass a CubeCraft member in private messages. Users caught doing this will be removed from our Discord server immediately, as they are considered a threat to the community.
So, being toxic and threatening on the Cubecraft chat isn't allowed, same with Discord, but Xbox won't be punished? That seems heavily unfair as it's the exact same thing.
I will reply to this suggestion if anyone disagrees that this is a good idea, and I'll say this; Xbox messages can also be proven. (just like the file attached).
Let's have a safe Minecraft community <3
