I see that this is your first post. In the future, I recommend putting posts like these into feedback and suggestions. I’m actually on the fence about this. I noticed that after the 1.19 update, trapped chest explosions were changed. Previously, they would drop a trapped chest when they exploded, and would deal inconsistent damage. On the current version, the damage they deal feels consistent, comparable to a bed explosion. In my opinion, this is overpowered, and I would probably have a problem with it if other players used trapped chests more. However, trapped chests are rarely used like this, and nerfing their damage or preventing them from being craftable would make them obsolete. The solution I propose is to give them a delay, similar to the delay for golden pressure plate explosions, to give players a split second to place a block or run away.
