Web Trophies on Time Spent on the Forums Should Be Changed

Hello, here is my suggestion. The trophies showing how long people have spent on the forums should be tweaked. They should take into account activity and other factors. For example, here are some trophies that you get by being on the forums for a long time:

One Year Anniversary

1. Member has been registered at least 365 days.
   
   10
   Terrible Twos
   Member has been registered at least 730 days (2 years)
2. 
   10
   Long Time No Speak
   User has been registered for 1 year and posted less than 1 post per day (364)

   15
   Three Years
4. Has been registered for 3 Years
   
   20
   Four Years
5. Has been registered for 4 years
   
   25
   Half a decade
   User has been registered for 5 years
   
   I find this fairly preposterous because all these accounts do is join here either to report a bug and leave or to ask a question and then a few years later they’ll have like 40 trophy points. I find this unfair for the people who are generally active for like 10 months and have no trophy regarding time spent on the forums. Trophy points in many cases portray experience and people may, for example, have more trust in the person with one message and 80 trophy points than a moderator or helper, which let’s say, has 50 trophy points. They should be changed to something like this, showing time spent but also according activity:

   Member has been registered at least 365 days and has spent at least four hours on the forums.

   Member has been registered at least 730 days (2 years) and has achieved 50 likes.

   Long Time No Speak
   This should just be removed, it serves no purpose and convinces people to be inactive.

10. Has been registered for 3 Years and has created 200 posts!

    Four Years
11. Has been registered for 4 years and has achieved 200 likes!

    Half a decade
    User has been registered for 5 years and has a like-post ratio of at least 100% You must have at least 500 messages.
    
    I do think this should be implemented to give other people more of a chance to gain these trophy points but also so people actually need to be relatively to get these. If one year, for example, you don’t get the trophy points because you’re short on messages, when you get them like a month later and it’s been a year you can still get them.

I like the idea of 'earning' the trophy in a way, but I think that some people might not be as into writing threads as other people and are more of readers/supporters. In my opinion, having a certain amount of likes and messages should stay separated to being active (as in online) since there are different types of people in the community.

I do agree with this, however most people that get these trophies haven’t been active in years. Inactivity shouldn’t be rewarded. Maybe it should be time spent on the forums?

Yes, I think that's a good idea, that's why I mentioned them being active (as in online).

What they do about long time no speak doesn’t really matter for me, in the end it’s still just forum trophies

Trophy points do not add any effect and are there just for the show. I think all the achievements should stay as they are now.

Thank you for supporting this idea, yea I added that in the one year anniversary one where you can just be online on the forums without typing. The Long time no Speak one is just stupid in my opinion aha.

I completely agree with this, why should someone who hasn't even posted a single message have a chance to get more points than most people here?
