About a hour ago I saw this thread from @PingEther04 about the annoying punch sounds in lobbies.
Well Ping, this one if for you. A tutorial on how to remove/disable the punch sounds in your own resourcepack.
(You will still be able to hear the normal "PvP" sounds as normal)
STEP ONE: Download a silent .ogg file, you could look for one on google, but I recommend using this one: [FILE].
Right click anywhere on the screen and click "safe as" and put it somewhere on your pc. (you better remember where).
STEP TWO: Locate your .minecraft file (open run by pressing the WIN key+R, and typ: "%appdata%").
Afther that go into your .minecraft > resourcepacks > find the pack you are using > assets >
minecraft > and make a new folder called "sounds", when in the folder make a new folder called "entity". In entity make a new folder called "player". When in that folder, create another folder and name it "attack". In this folder you want to put the file you downloaded before (see step one). And move on to the next step, ofc.
STEP THREE: I found out that the files that make the sounds are: "weak1", "weak2", "weak3" and "weak4", "strong1", "strong2", "strong3", "strong4", "strong5", and "strong6". The "weak" once are when you punch before the cooldown has ended. The "strong" once are afther the cooldown has expired. So just duplicate the file you downloaded 10 times and rename them to: "weak1", "weak2", "weak3" and "weak4", "strong1", "strong2", "strong3", "strong4", "strong5", and "strong6". (should look like something like this).
Afther this you are DONE! Just restart your minecraft and make sure to select the resourcepack you edited :)
If you come across any problems just PM me or reply down below.
