Java Update the 1.9 servers to 1.12

Hello Cubecraft, i suggest updating the 1.9 server to 1.12 for the following reasons:
-The versions people uses most are 1.8.9 the latest version and sometimes 1.12
-Pvp clients only update 1.8, 1.12, 1.15 and 1.16
-Almost no one uses 1.9, 1.10 and 1.11

Tip: Try to implement it when that spring adventure is over so no need to update spring adventure
P.S 1.8 won't be affected

I don’t see any reason to update 1.9 to 1.12.
Why would CubeCraft update 1.9 to 1.12 if that’s literally the ‘same’ type of combat/version? And why would it not affect 1.8 but 1.9 does? (It’s kinda the same as 1.9 to 1.12)

- The reason why so many people use 1.8.9/1.12/1.16 is because most clients don’t support 1.8/1.9 (That means, most people who are not playing on a client uses something other than I just mentioned) just wanna mention that there are many people who uses Lunar Client, that means, you have to play on 1.8 and not 1.8.9 - this does not apply to 1.9 as there are only 1.12/1.15/1.16.
- There are still also a lot of people who use 1.9 1.10 1.11, maybe not 1.10 & 1.11. But just because there’s a small amount of people, that doesn’t mean that they’ll need to update it.

You see how cubecraft currently runs on 1.10. How exactly does updating to 1.12 help? Like I can see more skyblock islands but that’s about it. If they are gonna update ever it would have to be at least 1.13 as that changes water fights drastically

It is better than nothing, so I would agree. 1.13,14 ... would be still better

1.9 should be updated to 1.12 to gain access to illages, liama, totem of undying and overall more content and more extended bukkit api

I disagree. What is the point? What does cubecraft or the playerbase stand to gain? Sure most people probably play 1.12.2 since it is the easiest version to mod or 1.16.5 because it's the newest, but that doesn't mean the other versions are bad.

We use a custom build of spigot so updating all of our server software would be a massive feat. I’m going to have to vote no.

You people made 2 separate servers for both 1.8 and 1.9+, something i never seen another server do, not even the #1 largest server in the world
