Also they are developmental versions, so parrots and other things may be removed, though unlikely.

Mainly 1.12 will do wonders for vanilla servers but for cubecraft to update to 1.12 as soon as is released or shortly after would lower the player count as many other servers won't support 1.12 for a long time and mods won't be updated. I would really like to see cubecraft make freebuild a 1.12 server only though with the new creative features :P
I think they definitely should. The reason they updated to 1.9 is because "cubecraft will always be up to date with the most features and all the other servers are digging themselves into a hole by not updating".
As said above they're not really following what they were saying anymore, so I think cubecraft is almost obligated to update once it's out. If they stay in 1.9 cube is 3 versions behind, that's not any better than other servers.
In conclusion: More features and better gameplay, plus it would be hypocritical to not update.

I am sorry but we cannot add 1.12 for these reasons:
- We support 1.8

That's really just one reason, twice. Also the 1.8 and 1.9-1-11 servers are completely separate, they could still keep the 1.8 server and update the other one to 1.12. There really is no reason to allow people to connect with 1.9 or 1.10 clients anymore.
they aren't updating to a snapshot as well as this would give a slight advantage anyways with the crafting aditions
If they are going to add it, they have to wait until the update is fully out.

I already discussed about this topic with some players on Discord. If they decide to go fully 1.12 I give them one month to fix most bugs and update their plugins till it's fully compatible.
1.12 adds great features with great benefits. All we can do is Hope that they'll listen to us.
