Java Update the server to 1.15

Recently with newer additions to the game cubecraft has been getting buggier and buggier. For example; the 1.13 swimming is disabled but sometimes still works, etc. i dont know why the server runs an ancient 4 year old version.

The server is missing out on many great additions, especially Lucky Islands.

Lucky islands could get many interesting Block Drops like tridents which could also be added to skywars.

Swarms of angry bees emerging from a lucky block, akin to the iron fish or the annoying knight boss.

Not to mention Honey Block parkour and many other things.

Vanity. Add pets

There’s a lot that could be done, it could even make room for old returning gamemodes like Bingo and UHC

I don't think they should do this, ever to be honest. Yes it would bring a lot of fun extras but backwards compatibly must be sustained! A lot of clients and mods do not support the newer version of Minecraft since you'd a big team to keep updating them. This is not always possible. Also, I really don't like 1.14 with its weird shifting. And buggier and buggier, that's an overstatement. I only know of the swimming bug that is caused by the compatibly with all versions, and that's mostly client side.
That being said, dropping it for 1.9-1.10 might be OK. Since I don't think these versions are preferred by anyone. I think the most played version are 1.12.2 - 1.14.4 and 1.15.2

We already have miniatures, so I don't think that's needed.

What, no! The server has to be backwards compatible with all Minecraft version! 1.9 - 1.15.2 (not 1.8 since it has a different PVP system) For instant I would hate it if Cube wouldn't support 1.12.2 any more. It's one of the most stable version and most mods are on that version.

No it doesn’t!!! It was never backwards compatible prior to 1.8 and tridents are important for the vast experience of new players, ones who dont reallly care about fancy mods, HUDs, points, leaderboards etcetera.

i can live with that! I doubt the legitimacy of your claim, 1.15 was after all, a bug-fix update primarily.

Optifine runs 1.15, mods can always update to newest additions. Such petty reasons don’t account for reasons as to why cubecraft cant update.

1.14 has crossbows, great for survival games! Swimming bug gives an advantage btw.
