Voting Bug Solution

Hello all!

So recently, I have seen a lot of people making threads about how they try to open the voting menu, but it turns into a map instead. I have thought about it for a while, and I have realized that this bug never happens with the kit selector. This is because when you right click a paper, nothing will happen versus when a map is right clicked, it will open up a map. If you spam click the kit selector because of lag, it will not open anything, and the menu will eventually open.

My solution is simple, change the voting menu to another item that doesn't do anything when it is right clicked. I don't know what would look good, since I can't look on Minecraft now, so maybe someone else could look for me.

I know that @zRinne suggested something similar to this, where there is a /vote command. My suggestion is that we have a command and a physical way to vote.

her suggestion was to add a command like /vote so in case the map doesnt work they can still vote and honestly i think both of these should be implemented as for it would make voting easier and for people who lag all the time it would be easier if they did /vote

/vote would bring up the menu or you could do
/vote OP (for OverPowered)
/vote normalc (for normal items or chests)
/vote hardcore (for hardcore or basic items)
/vote triple (for triple Health)
/vote double (for double health)
/vote normalh (for normal health
/vote day
/vote sunset
/vote night
/vote (brings up voting menu)

i think if they implemented the /vote system for gamemodes the commands would be something similar to this or like this

I believe that a mod has already created a thread on this and it is currently being looked at. Also as you have said there have been many threads on this so my suggestion to you is to post your solution to this problem one of those.

I totally forgot about zRinne's suggestion. Maybe both voting options though, both the commands and still keep the current one.

This post is not a bug report. It is a solution to a bug. Many people (As I said in my post) have experienced this problem and made bug reports about it. Staff are well aware of the bug.

I have never seen this when I vote but heard of it happening I think it is to do with people's ping or fps. If they start laging this might start happening.

that is why it happens its because the player is lagging yet lots of people complain about it so why not find a way where even players who lag

also to add to my last post there are times when people who have really good ping and FPS get this as well and they arent lagging so it can be their side but it is also CC's side at some points

Yeah. When this happens to me, it's usually Cube lag and not me.

I did make a suggestion on this a while back, CubeCraft should defiantly put this idea into consideration. Why I suggested was swapping the map with something else like a Neather Star or Blaze powder. I like the suggestion gj

They should make a /vote command then when you do /vote six things come up. One is OP, NORMAL, HARDCOUR, TRIPLE HEALTH, DOUBLE HEALTH, and NORMAL HEALTH. Then you can click on two of them and then you are done voting.
This might help you guys, but just trying to give ideas.
