It depends on the situation, if you're stuck and you have no blocks I understand you want a water bucket to save yourself. But if a camper is building a skybase, someone is building to him and once he's there the person jumps down and quickly places water underneath his feet and destroyes the oppenents egg. It depends on the situation but maybe it's better to leave it like this, and just to bring more blocks with you. They aren't that expensive ;)

I would love to have them but there is always the arguement that people will cover their eggs in water making them extreme difficult to take out. Again it would have so many other uses and as long as it cost diamonds for a bucket I think it would be fine.

In maps w/ lava (i.e. Aztec) you can just grab lava and swamp your island with it.

I support this idea 50% because I would like to do water drop when I am on top of a base, but campers would use so bad....

I mean, with it you could make you egg extremely hard to reach.
You could also get rid of fall damage which should NOT happen.
It kinds of ruins the point of egg wars as it would make more of a
camping paradise and that would never be fun. Plus, you could even
create an infinite water source with the water buckets so that would
also ruin the game. I mean, you could always bring a lot of blocks
or have an enchanted golden apple to help you because of all of that
absorption hears. -1

No. This would be too op. I mean, breaking obsidian is hard enough. With water, it'll literally be impossible to break eggs. That'll make longer games which people despise. -1

Ok so Im rethinking the arguement of water being too op. Water would be incredibly easy to deal with around an egg just block off the source. With that I think this idea would be perfect for eggwars as long as the buckets were expensive. Most people already have to block themselves in to handle an egg so what makes removing a source block much more difficult?

This is a good idea that I've thought about for a while now, but if water buckets were put into the game, they would have to be pretty expensive. Also it would be over-powered if you were to place it near your egg...

People have said that eggs would be extremely difficult to access, well maybe update the plugin so that water cannot be placed near eggs? It could cost like 10 gold and despawn after 10 seconds? Unless you pick it back up.

I support this if it meets these conditions.

Here are my thoughts on this suggestion. If you were to cover your egg with obsidian, and then to cover it all with water it would take a long time to mine it. But on the positive side of this, it would be very helpful to raid an island, knowing that even if you fall to their island you can place a water bucket below you to save yourself. Either way you look at this there are positives and negatives. So I will give this suggestion a 2.5 cakes out of 5.

I agree with @CARDAN16 , if you were to build a tall one block tower above your egg and then place water at the top it would make it really difficult to mine the blocks around the egg. This would also hugely benefit campers, as they could place water on all the edges of their island and make it hard to get to without being knocked off.
