Here are the PS’s I’ve had experience with:
PS2: Obviously the older a console is the worse it will be in comparison to newer models. If I could only play one console for the rest of my life it obviously wouldn’t be this one. I think the loading times on the PS2 are really slow and I don’t like how the controller feels. However, this console apparently sold very well compared to its competitors. IIRC, the game cube had a small disc space which meant games had to be compressed, the Xbox was expensive and there’s a major design flaw with the clock capacitor leaking. The PS2 also has a wide variety of really great games for it.
PS4: This is a console I’ve had for a really long time and it’s one I grew up with. I mainly remember this console for the PVZ shooter games and a couple virtual reality games (with the psvr) I remember it always functioning really well and liking the way the controllers felt, I don’t think there’s anything I really dislike about the ps4.
PS5: This is something I’ve been playing with recently and I haven’t really gone back to the ps4 since then, but when I have, the ps4 admittedly feels like a big step down. The performance on the PS5 seems much better (at least when playing security breach lol) I really like the way the controller on this one feels too.
I think all of these are great consoles for their times but ended up voting PS5 because it seems like it’s overall the best.
