I would like to take a moment to explain to you all why I feel like some NA players were cheated out of a smooth play experience, even after the introduction of Cubecraft's NA servers. Note that I mean the title in a geographic context, and I will explain that in more detail below.

It has been disclosed publicly by cubecraft staff many times that the NA host is located in Montreal, Canada. Montreal is in the far north east, not too far above New York. As one could assume, this is not an ideal location for west coast players. As a west coast player myself, even with a wired connection and reliable internet, I cannot break double digit ping; I have never been able to reap the benefits of having traditionally low-latency play experience. For comparison, I share roughly the same ping with some of my EU friends to the NA server despite me being in NA myself.

As most Americans will tell you, the geographic center of the united states is in Kansas, quite a ways away from Montreal, canada. There is not a single bedrock featured server that has an NA host closer to the west than to the east. I personally think this is unfair to west coast players for a few key reasons. Notably, they make up a reasonable portion of the NA player base. Should cubecraft's NA host be relocated to a place more towards the geographic center of NA, a player from new york would have roughly the same ping as someone from california.

Given how common it is for servers to be hosted near or in eastern canada, one can only assume that it is either a) cheaper to host there, b) there are simply more available data centers there, or c) both. I suppose it depends on whether cubecraft cares enough to make a more equitable switch. States like Texas or Illinois are great choices for a more ideal host, and they are known for having lots of data centers. Another potential solution is to simply create another NA server in a location such as Los Angeles, california (which have a high population density and also available data centers). Although it should be noted that the cubecraft team likely will release an Asia server before we get to see another NA server location.

Moreover, I at the very least would like to see the team relocate their NA server to a more equitable location for all NA players. East coast players have historically gotten the long end of the stick and it's only fair to change that.

I think that they chose montreal, because most of the players are from canada or north of usa, I would have liked them to have chosen Miami, because that way it would benefit North American players and those from Latin America, literally I, who am from Latin America, have 150+ on both servers.

The reason why I disagreed is that how much money this will take. What people don't consider before making a suggestion is to know how much money/time it will take. They added north american servers is they had someone that worked for the cubecraft team in kansas to add servers. this will cost a lot of money considering you'll have to buy another server. But in cubecrafts case, they have minecraft on their side so they could easily do that. Now I don't know if this all is true but I wrote this on the logical side of things.

this is literally the best location for me
by this, do you mean montreal? And even if you live right on or near there, that is completely missing the point of this post. Its about equity for all NA players, not just what suits you the best.

I do agree that Montreal is definitely not the most mutual place to put the server, and I would be totally for this but unfortunately I don’t think something this big would be able to change...

100ms is fine, for me if the chest takes less than 3 seconds to open, you have plenty of it, anyway if you want to have a good ping make sure to use ethernet, I have to play with wifi thanks to the fact that my room is 15 meters from the router, and they do not let me throw a cable even there, but once I tried and had 90 ms, and at that time I played in Europe, and that my geographical location does not help me.

Also 100 ms is very good for pvp, ex competitive UHC players like Hasvik or Jdegoederen played with 100ms, but they won a Uhc on air and a Uhc elite in 1.8, in 2017-2018, so I don't see a reason to complain about playing with 100ms.

I think they should move the servers to Melbourne in Australia, I'm already getting 300 ping. So don't complain about the servers being far away. Try living here.

My point is at least you have a server.

I strongly disagree.

I don't think moving the servers would be a good idea. People are having hundreds of ms of ping just because they live somewhere where there is no CubeCraft server around them.
Just because you live somewhere where it has a higher ping than what you expected doesn't mean they need to change the location, otherwise thousands of people would like a CubeCraft server near where they live.
In addition to that, from what I know, most NA players are from the north.

Not sure what you want them to do.. At this point they cant move a server that they already brought... I mean look how long it took them to buy it. They cant just undo all of that

Exactly what I said, but instead of listening, just keep trying to trove their point.
