I made a thread a couple months back, overtime the thread died out, I was wondering if editing the old thread (not posting a new comment, just editing my message) counts as necroposting.

Editing your post does not fall under necroposting as you're not posting anything new. It also does not bump your post to the top of "latest posts", so it is not considered necroposting since you're not actually replying to the thread again.

Hi! I'm new, and I don't really understand necroposting. There is an option to tick that says 'I understand that this post is 3 months old and would still like to reply', should we just never tick that? If so, what is its purpouse?
