Remove message counters and total likes and followers .

I thought these were forums , not a social site . Why do these exist? It encourages no lifers . It just doesnt make sense to me. They should be removed.

Not really. The forums is a social way for the whole community to come together and talk, regarding suggestions, general gameplay, youtube and other gaming detail. If people are encouraged to have no life on the forums, that is clearly their choice. You've been here for one day on the forums and already making assumptions. A user may have been just been very helpful, and there are a lot of helpful people at CCGN.

I don't think the Liking, Message or Followers should be removed. On-the-other-hand, it wouldn't be a forum then - Xenforo, you cannot remove these features otherwise its not a Forum, and If I'm correct you cannot remove these certain features on Xenforo, therefore it'd require a software change, which Would require a lot of changes and work for the Web Developers. It's a no from me :).

Message counters allows a form of reliability with the member -- for example, a new player joins the forums, wanting to know some information, and creates a thread enquiring about something. A member with (let's say) 1000 messages responds, the person who asked the question will lean more towards the answer of that member instead of a member with 50 messages due to reliability.

Following players doesn't attract "no-lifers", following is all in control of the members, they can follow who they want for their own reasons.

Therefore, I am against this idea.

Not really, messages don't matter for becoming a helper. It is about What kind of person you are.

I don't like for removing this, but I see your point of your suggestion.

I disagree as the staff can know how active a member is with that, but maybe it should not be public, only visible for staff and the member itself.

The number counter is a part of the forums because its easy to spot active forums members. It shows who my have the same hobbies and interests, I've met amazing people that way. It also shows who may be a longer member, or be more social. I think the numbers should stay.:D:p

I suggested the ability to hide your like/message counter on my previous account. I think that would be a good compromise on removing it completely but I don't care either way. I mostly wanted it to prevent people from thinking I was some mod that could unban them.

to a certain extent they do I am talking about the minimum of 100 messages as a requirement

as for this thread... Yes because I want to count to see how many messages someone has and that is also noting to exclude profile posts
also things like follows and likes can make someone feel better knowing that at least someone is interested in what they say and do
might I also point out that without this than if someone says they'll make a thread than they do but you don't know where it is (this actually happened to me earlier when Ecluke94 said he would be posting a poll for people to vote on if they thought that the invincibility time on Paintball should be raised to 5 seconds or left at 3)
final point I will make here is calling people "no lifers" because they are dedicated to the forums and very well like both them and the server is just plain not nice and being dedicated to the forums isn't all of a sudden a bad thing players have goals and they may achieve them through this system
there are many many more points I can make here that I am not going too

Not neccasarily.
Not everything is about getting helper.
Likes doesn't really show how popular you are and follows means that someone supports you and stuff.
