I thought it my be cool to add survival, not uhc champions (CubeCraft already has it) but someone that people go around get wood and collect resources. There could be kits like specified by the ranks, iron, lapis, gold, diamond, emerald, obsidian. I think this would be a great add on to this already awesome server!

I couldn't really see something like "Survival" being added to the server. There would have to be some kind of concept to it. Cube Craft, from what I've learned, is based on fast games (Via Sky Wars, Slime Survival, etc). If something like this was added, it'd probably tip the whole balance and main theme of what the games of Cube Craft are all about.

Rather, I'd like Factions or Sky Block to be added/make a return.

Having something like a Factions server would, in my opinion, be amazing. Factions is basically survival, but it's main purpose is to be the "richest player on the server." There are generally clans, and you build bases and get loot and use shops and stuff to become rich and powerful. It's all in survival. Taking from your thread, there can be things like kits for specific ranks added for a game like Factions. If Factions (Aka advanced survival) was added, I'd be all in for it.

I believe Cubecraft is more of a mini-game server, and pure vanilla survival wouldn’t suit it. The closest to pure survival Cubecraft has gotten I’d say is UHC.

If you want to play normal survival, you can just play single player or buy realms and play with friends.

Wouldn't mind seeing some vanilla survival with chunk claiming and grief protection. I would like to see Skyblock make a return too.

Actually I really like to see this.
Not an open world where every players can get in, but that you have your own private server to play with friends. But I only want to have a Vanilla thing, so you can discover things by your own.

But instead of adding this, I only want to have skyblock back :P

PvP enabled because I play on a semi anarchy server rn w somebody but everyone on it is a friend so I cant go murder someone.

I really want to kill someone I dont like on survival through a series of wars, building massive TNT machines in the sky and watch them wipe out entire civilizations of players.

Players would form huge clans, erect massive obsidian walls to protect their (probably hideous) builds from griefing.

There would be massive wars on horseback, the battlfield would be covered in landmines that blow up instantly- TNT minecarts. Wars for Elytra would be common. The server wpuld become a place of joy, happiness, a sense of togetherness, wars, loss and battle.

In the beginning, spawn protect would protect new players. Ones capable would find the first end portal and makw their way to find elytra. Gold would be in high demand for crafting gapples, extremely necessary for surviving ambush. In the end, end cities for hundreds of blocks would be in ruin. Later players would need to journey far and wide. Wars for the gold in mesas would be common.

Fire resistance is almost a no-brainer. All nether portals would be trapped, fortresses would be demolished and blaze spawners would be scarce.

Every month, chunks would be trimmed off the end to allow new players to attain elytra. Largee civilizations capable enough would craft conduits and live their lives underwater, far from other humans. Water would makw their homes nearly ungriefable. Others would create sky-cities. Equipped with TNT droppers, anyone daring enough to attack them from their largest blindspot, the bottom is put in danger.

Not to mention, these sly cities will be near inaccessible at night, where phantoms would rule the night skies. Elytra users would try to attack but due to their small numbers, would pose little threat.

Withers would become more of a weapon rather than a boss to kill, several of them patrolling outside spawn causing utter chaos and others used to demolish structures ans penetrate great obsidian walls. Sentinel would shoot down anyone who tried using mods to get a better hand.

Maybe not this, but, like everyone's saying, Skyblock or Factions. CubeCraft one had it until they put it under maintenance (if I'm correct). I'd like to see these 2 back because it are 2 popular survival games. I wouldn't like only survival. Skyblock is survival with something extra which is really fun. So, I'd rather see Skyblock and Factions back than just a game which is only survival.

They removed skyblock becaus their servers were tearing apart or something idk, it was apparently good standard, not like moneywalls.

It's a minigame server so no.

They should wait till 1.13 comes out then add survival
:winky-face:
Survival is a nice vanilla Minecraft thing but CubeCraft is a minigame server so I don't think survival is a good thing to add to CubeCraft. I think it would also be messed up if you could get in a survival world with 100+ players at the same time. I like the idea, but I also think that it does not fit in the style of the CubeCraft games.
what we had skyblock which is survival in a sense all these arguements are bad

Agreed.

I mean, they need a massive server for that, but it could work. I personally love survival so I wouldn't mind seeing this. But bring SkyBlock back first, we're so close now that parkour is back.. so close..

I think it would be a nice idea for a PvE survival sort of game. It would be difficult to create due to the fact it would have to be so large to accommodate all the dozens of players but I'm sure marco would find a way. Having it dependent on ranks is a definite no though. Ranks shouldnt give you a significant in-game advantage. Having it for 1.13 would be a great idea too.

A common misconception is to make a server work for more players you just get a bigger server, this isn't really true :D We did this when we had issues with the original SkyBlock and Creative which led to us running servers in a room with an overclock that required us to pump 10ºC air in to the machines just to stop them crashing from overheating. That was one of the reasons that creative took so long to redo is we made it so it could scale. Rather than everyone being on one server we spread them out just like we do for all our other games. Bringing something like Factions, Survival or SkyBlock would take a similar engineering effort and the reward we would see from it would likely not be worth the investment. For now I agree it sounds like a fun idea, maybe one day. There may be a game coming soon that will fill some of the voids you all have for large scale PvP....
