All Networks Change punishment time for death threats

Death threats are death threats. They are horrible and ruin lives. Not only this, they are illegal as well. I'm suggesting we change the punishment time from a month to something like 3 months


Before you say "it's just a block game" then think. Death threats are still death threats and should never be tolerated no matter the context.

Should there be a distinction between actual threats and things like "I hope you die", "get cancer" etc.? I think actual threats are much worse, people might legitimately be scared if they get told someone will come to kill them. I don't think "I hope you die" should qualify as a death threat, but afaik it's currently handled as one.

Yes death threats are something horrible. But 6 months... I would rather 3 months for the first time

I wouldn't really take someone who I never met before in a random game too serious. Especially when he tells me to die.

No make it bannable...... It's just a blockgame if you kill yourself just because some random dude said: kys, then your too sensitive. Just make it 1 month 3 month 6 months and then 12 months and then perm.

The reason to why it's "just" a month is because people can actually regret what they did.
Maybe I just get mad for something, type without thinking and get muted, I wouldn't like to get instant 6 months mute and my appeal denied. Some people actually don't do it again after their 1 month mute so I don't think they should change it just because of that.

And people who doesn't learn from what they did wrong in this case would just get a perm mute later.

Edit: I get death threats almost every time I join the server and I don't see any problems with getting 30 days mute if it's the first time.

I guess but I wouldn't like them to change it. 30 days mute to start with and then if you haven't learnt anything from it, perm. That's how it is and should be.
