In normal mode, a gold sword can do decent damage to someone who doesn't have much Armor. They're fine to use as temporary weapons until you get a better one. So I honestly see no point in removing them.

Simplicity, when it comes to things like Logos and icons is unnecessary. How Cubecrafts logos and Icons currently look makes it look a lot more professional which will give the impression that the server is very high quality, for a new player.
