Heeee everyone,

as you all probably know, Cube’s partner program has been closed for a whileee. For creators and Cube itself, this isn’t the best thing, as not having an active partner program could be hurting the server. Here are some ideas and thoughts about revamping/changing it so it would be able to open again!!!!!!!! :)
List of things that was off.
  • It was outdated.
  • Partners and Cube didn’t have a “Win-Win relationship”
  • Communication
The partner program was just outdated. In the last few years a lot of companies have changed their partner program to something more advanced and creator friendly. Think about programs like: YouTube, Twitch, Epic Games, etc. Ofcourse these are large companies so the program doesn’t have to be as good as those, tho you can learn a lot from them!

At the moment they closed the program there wasn’t a win-win structure. Partners got a lot of perks/extra’s to make even more amazing content while cube didn’t really get to much out of it.
Server Perks
Partner rank on server, including every in game rank/bundle/vip30 features, exclusive tag, access to /nick, access to pg’s, extra p slots/f slots.

Other Perks
Support (Quick access to team, moderation, questions etc), Giveaways hosted by creator can get gifted by cube. Promotions by cube (socials with decent followings), request’s (old games/maps getting booted up) or other things that would help with content creation.

^^ wowie that’s a lot isn’t it.
With how Cube’s partner program worked, everyone could apply without having “real” requirements outside of being a good fit. While having a vision to help smaller creators grow their content and support them in their content journey sounds amazing, it’s not that simple. Giving them the same perks, help, and resources as larger/trusted creators is not the best (Maybe I’m wrong please give opinions.).

While Cube is giving the partners all the amazing perks above, the partners are like living advertisements haha don’t hate, it’s true <3. If someone averages 250 views on Cube content, it isn’t as useful as someone who averages 100,000 views. There is a big chance the 250 views are mostly from people who already play Cube, while the 100,000 views introduce a lot of new people to the amazingness of this network.

While the 250 views are still amazing and great, they can’t be compared.
Another thing is communication. Communication could be a topic by itself, haha. While things such as the public Notion board or Cam’s official replies on the forums are nice ways to communicate, there could be so much more.

In partner terms, we don’t even have an official reason for the program closing.

I know i know lots of talking blabla, but what would be a good solution?

1. Open it the simple way.

Set simple Requirements, such as having an amount of subs/followers/average views and stuff such as at least making cube content … a month/being a good fit.

This way you have active content creators, who actually make content on cube and not just benefit from all the cool stuff + less people going for creator just to be a creator, and not because they love making content.

2. Revamp it, BABYYYYYY
Change the program, make it multiple tiers, change perks etc.

Tier 1 Cube Partners –
Requirements:
  • At least 14 years old.
  • Act in good manners, and respect. Community/Other creators/opinions.
  • Smoll creators. So think 100 subs YouTube, 25 Twitch, 500 TikTok.
Rewards/Perks:
  • Getting cube funded giveaways, you can host by collecting points which you get for being a cube creator so daily, reaching goals such as 1k subs or … views etc.
  • Access to Partner discord, to chat with other creators.
Tier 2 Cube Partners + -
Requirements:
  • Everything from Cube Partners
  • Being verified by partner management.
  • Larger creators, So 5k subs YouTube, 1250 Twitch, 25k TikTok.
Rewards/Perks:
  • Everything from Cube Partners
  • Partner rank on server/discord/forums with all the benefits like /nick or /pg in game.
  • Own channel to talk to the team, for req/mod other stuff.
  • Promoting socials by cube.
Tier 3 Trusted Partners –
Requirements
  • Everything from Cube Partners +
  • Larger creators, so 10k YouTube 2,5K Twitch, 50k TikTok
  • Trusted by CubeCraft
Rewards/Perks
  • Everything from Cube Partners+
  • Access content before its out, and being able to give feedback.
  • Special requests.
  • Other cool stuff/helping cube
When meeting the requirements, people can skip Cube Partners to become Cube Partners+ immediately after verification. You cannot skip Partners+ as you need to be trusted first. Not everyone can be a trusted partner, as you obviously need to be trusted first, haha.
3. Magic

I know cube has amazing idea’s and visions, so use them and make a cool and amazing program we know u can ;).

I also know this is probably not very realistic and could use insane amounts of tweaks/extra’s/changing as well as it costing dev time. Thoooo i also think people would love to be able to apply for partner again.

With love,
Thisj

Thijs coming in with an awesome suggestion woooo

The revamp bit sounds like a fun way to make it work again. The partners will have something to work towards if they truly want the benefits. It would require lots of admin which at the moment they simply cannot afford (time and resources), but I think it would be great to keep in mind once things become less busy for the team.

I applaud your creation of this discussion.

I do however have a very big disagreement with the premise of your argument though.. Lets unpack this statement....

"Partners got a lot of perks/extra’s to make even more amazing content while cube didn’t really get to much out of it."

Firstly, "partners got a lot of perks":
So what did they get.. they got the ranks and cosmetics, that most of them already had access to anyway given that they main'd the server and already paid for those things.. yeah a few didn't, but most did and yeah maybe they got access to a few of the rarer cosmetics, but like.. woweeee, so what? *

"cube didn’t really get to much out of it"
This belies the fact that over years Cubecraft got free advertising from the partners... many, many, many players wanted to play on cubecraft because they'd seen the favourite creators playing on the platform. I still come across players every day that tell me they play on cubecraft because they watched Relatednoobs for one. "Wow, I can't believe you are in my game, I saw you on relatednoobs, I watched him all the time". So many amazing content creators have come and gone that supported and promoted their favourite server Cubecraft... Relatednoobs, Swiftz, Chief Aaron, Waspbrain, Quiet, Dashing (who is now amazingly successful btw), Orbitzz, Van Houten, Sgribl, Riftz, FxVoids, lightschips, to name but a few (sorry for those I've not mentioned). Most of them spent untold hours on the platform, spent untold hours promoting the platform, spent until hours creating content for the platform, recording, editing, promoting, and even mentoring other upcoming creators.

Cubecraft have never really supported content creators. They've had a go at doing so, but they've never really found a formula that works for both them and the creators. Thats very different though to saying that cubecraft were the only ever beneficiary of the arrangement.. thats just patently untrue, hence why I feel so strongly that I have to say this here.

So yeah, I disagree with the very core of your argument, but I do agree that Cubecraft could benefit from (new ownership, oops mybad) actually investing in a partnership program that benefitted both the platform as well as the creators that are advertising their platform.

* OK so there were more perks such as Fly (which now level 30 can do), Nick.. which for most of the last few years didn't work and Private Games, which only came in about the last 12 months of the partner program so wasn't really a perk for long. What else was there? Kudos? Is that it? the partner could give away a few free ranks? Most of us creators did that out of our own pockets anyways.
