BlockWars is truly a fast paced game, and these mechanics aren't working so well in my opinion. This post is about what I would change and why.
Please give feedback to fix some unbalances you see that I've created (or suggest entirely different ideas)!
Noteable problems the update introduces:
*** Swords have a delay of about 0.63 seconds ***
- Runners can abuse this by running away when they are low. There is plenty of time for them to leave before another user with a different kit can produce a strong enough attack to kill them.
- Giant clumps of people form around a flag bearer. Everyone just follows the flag bearer waiting... clicking... waiting... clicking...
- It takes too long to kill someone.
- Causes Tank kit to be very overpowered.
- When archers are on high ground (and knocking you down constantly), it's almost impossible to kill them.
*** Dual wielding ***
- Allows archers to hold a bow and knockback stick at the same time.
- Allows many kits to hold a sword and bow at the same time, changing how the kits are balanced.
My personal suggestions for each kit:
Warrior:
- Stone sword (sword delay: .47(s))
- Bow (2 arrows)
- Leather Chestplate
- Leather Boots
- Wooden Pickaxe
Archer:
- Knockback Fishing Rod (Prevents using bow in offhand due to it's right click use, allows for knockback, allows for regular fishing rod use, causes the possibility of it breaking by spamming the right click)
- Bow (20 arrows)
- Leather Chestplate
- Wooden Pickaxe
Runner:
- Speed I
- Wood Sword (sword delay: .53(s))
- Bow (0 arrows, must be collected off ground)
- Leather Chestplate
- Leather Boots
- Wooden Pickaxe
Miner:
- Wood Sword (sword delay: .50(s))
- Bow (3 arrows)
- Leather Chestplate
- Leather Boots
- Stone pickaxe (drops blocks)
Tank:
- Bow (3 arrows)
- Iron Chestplate
- Chain Boots
- Wooden pickaxe
Builder:
- Gold Sword (sword delay: .53(s))
- Bow (3 arrows)
- Leather Chestplate
- Leather Leggings
- 5 blocks per respawn
- Wooden pickaxe
Jumper:
- Wood Sword (sword delay: .53(s))
- Bow (1 arrow)
- Leather Chestplate
- Leather Leggings
- Jump Boost II
Ninja:
- Iron Sword (sword delay: .50(s))
- Bow (3 arrows)
- Cloak (Turn invisible) (45 second cooldown)
