Hey applicants!
Are you interested in helping the community and server? Do you enjoy ensuring people have an enjoyable time? Then you have come to the right place!
Being a helper comes with a lot of responsibility, but it can also be quite enjoyable. If this seems interesting to you, continue reading to find out more!
What do we look for in an applicant?
First off, you can only make an application for one version of Minecraft. If your heart lays with Java, apply for Java and vice versa for Bedrock. You will have to choose one that is your favorite to moderate on. Please note that if you make it through our Helper trial and make it to a Moderator, there will be opportunities down the road to train for the version you may have to leave behind. Finally, we value both personality and characteristics as much as skills.
Note: Java applications are currently closed
Below, we have listed our standard requirements.
Standard Requirements:
- You are at least 14 years old and follow Discord TOS
- You can speak and understand english, and you can communicate on Discord (text and voice)
- You are familiar with our rules
- You can record your screen
- Your mobile device supports Android 11/ iOS 16 +
- You have at least 2 months of server activity
Server Activity - This is not defined in real hours, days, or months. Two months of activity for example means you have at least been playing for two months. If you start on January 20th, it is considered two months of activity by March 20th.
Note: If you do not meet these requirements, you will not move forward to the next stage, so please only apply once you do meet them.
General Applicant Guidelines:
Along with the standard requirements, we want to provide you with some general applicant guidelines. Applicant guidelines are a list of qualities and skills we value and look for in our candidates.
- Honesty - This is a must-have quality. If you lie, you represent something or someone that you are not. Lying will lead to an instant denial.
- Community-Driven - Providing decent and valuable community interaction is the heart of our community. Start conversations, support our social media, suggest ideas, help others and provide insightful & quality content on our platforms.
Note! Spam messages, short and uninformed answers, saying what was said by other users previously, or other repetitive and unconstructive content does not count. - Maturity - An applicant must have a mature attitude and should be respectful to everyone. This position will come with some negativity or hate from players, and you must maintain maturity and professionalism at all costs, even when attacked.
- Multilingual - This is not required to be an applicant, but something we are looking for. Please include in your application if you can speak other languages (like French, Arabic, Swedish, or another language).
- Reports - While we do not have a minimum report requirement, we do take into account whether you have used our platforms to report players who break the rules, and also whether you have used the /sr command.
- Role-Model - You will be someone that users in the community respect! We are looking for people that are empathetic, kind, honest, patient, and understanding. You are allowed to give criticism if respectfully and constructively shared.
- Commitment - Commitment is a must. Commitment will ensure that you enjoy this position and make time for it. You must be able to work in a team environment and have consistent activity all around the network.
Note: Most of these criteria are subjective, meaning one’s interpretation of what counts as fulfilling them, may be different from another recruitment team’s perspective. Overall, we will be more strict regarding the things we summed up above.
If you have made it this far, ticked all boxes of our requirements, and are still interested in becoming a Helper, it is time to create your application! Please head over to the helper application subforum, create a new thread, fill out the application form, and submit your application!
The Process!
In order to help you, the community, understand how we run the application process, we have decided to explain it in as many details as we can! Hopefully, this gives the opportunity to clear up any confusion and keep it simplified for you all to understand.
Applications
A user who is interested in becoming a part of the staff team will apply by filling out our application form. Once done, they will be able to go back and edit if necessary.
Note: It is important to regularly check your application post (easily done by marking it as ‘watched’ so you receive an alert upon a new reply).
The applicant will receive a Prefix in front of their application, depending on where it is in the processing stage:
- New - This is when an applicant has first submitted their application and it has yet been seen by the recruitment team. It will alert them that there is a new application that has not been processed. That being said, it will not stay this way for too long. Please be patient as it can take 2-3 days for an application to be processed!
- Considering - This is the next tag an applicant will get if they are being considered! This means that the recruitment team has looked at this application and saw that they have met the minimum requirements. From here on, the recruitment team will discuss your application.
- Unsuccessful - This is when an application has been closed and the applicant has not been accepted. The application will include a message explaining why they were denied and what they can work on! From there, it will give them a rough estimate of how long it is until they can reapply. Those who do not respect their time-out period will receive a punishment.
- Interview - This means that the applicant has passed the previous consideration stage and has now been accepted for an interview! The interview will be arranged and take place in Discord. All of this will be initially handled on their application.
- Successful - This means that the applicant has passed the interview and has been accepted. They will then be introduced to our staff team as a new Helper!
Time-Out Period
To avoid applicants spamming applications and ignoring their time-out period, we introduced the following rule:
- You are not allowed to make a new application before you are permitted.
- Track: Warning -> Second Warning -> Week Ban -> Month Ban -> Permanent Ban
Note: If you are not sure when your timeout expires, check your previous application before creating a new one.
Helper Recruitment Team
The SrModerators are those who will answer your application questions best and who will handle the helper applications. This means that SrModerators, and the Admin Team, will be your go-to for any questions on the application/application process!
Although the SrModerators are the ones who handle the applications, the decision is not solely up to the recruitment team. The entire Moderation team is given a chance to provide their opinion on an applicant. The main reason for this is to prevent bias. Although another reason is to ensure that the staff team is able to give opinions and have a say in who they work with!
Once an applicant has reached the Interview prefix, they will be scheduled for an interview. After which, the recruitment team will discuss the interview with those who did not attend it. Once a decision is reached, the rest of the Moderators are brought in on the decision. They will give their opinions and based on all of that, the applicant will move on to the Successful or Unsuccessful tag. Now, this sounds quite intense and may worry you, but the way the opinions are decided is based on a majority. This means if you have one staff member that you fear dislikes you, it will not be the demise of your chances. It just means their opinion will be taken into account and discussed! Also if an applicant is unsuccessful, there will be a message sent out explaining why this is the case and how they can improve! This means they will not be denied without a reason to back it up!

Frequently Asked Questions!
If you have any further questions regarding the helper application, then please check out our FAQ below! If your question has remained unanswered after reading this thread and FAQ, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Recruitment Team (SrMods, or Capitan).
Q: Where can I apply for helper?
A: You can read general information and a link to where you can apply in this very thread!
Q: Can I be staff on just one platform?
A: Currently, you are only allowed to apply as a Bedrock Helper. However, you are not allowed to be staff on just Discord or the forums. As a staff member, you must moderate on our three platforms (Discord, Forums, and the Server).
Q: Does /report (in-game) count as a report to apply for staff?
A: Yes! Reports submitted in-game count. While reports in the Forums add more "points" to your application as we see your ability to record evidence, in-game reports with the /sr command are also considered.
Q: If I have a punishment, will I still have a chance of becoming a Helper?
A: Depending on how long ago and how many punishments you had before, your chances may vary. The more recent a punishment, the lower your chances of acceptance are.
Q: Can I write my application in a language other than English?
A: No, you are not allowed to write your application in another language. Staff members are required to be able to speak and understand English to complete their responsibilities.
Q: If I am not active on the forums, would that affect my chances?
A: Being active in the Forums increases your chances as the recruiting team will be able to see the quality of your suggestions, and your interactions with the rest of the community.
Q: How do I know if I have been accepted or denied?
A: Your application will have a prefix, depending on the status of your application. You will always get notified if you move on to another stage, and your prefix will change accordingly. If you get denied, you receive a denial reason on what you need to improve on.
Q: If I can not use voice chat for the interview, does that mean I can not apply?
A: Yes, as we need to be able to communicate with you in more than just typing. The interview also requires you to use your voice, so not being able to do the interview means not having a possibility of succeeding.
Q: If I made a mistake on my helper application, can I edit my application?
A: You are allowed to edit your application and change it! However, if your application has been marked unsuccessful, please read the reason for denial, as well as when you can reapply, and go from there. If your application is still in the considering stages, then you may edit your application.
Q: Who decides whether an application gets accepted or denied?
A: Our recruitment team, consisting of our SrMods, will deal with your application!
Q: What does a helper do and, how long will helper applications remain open?
A: Applications are open indefinitely unless announced otherwise by our team. As a helper, you will be doing quite a few tasks! You can find a summary by clicking here.
