A Change in Rules

THIS IS AN EGG WARS SUGGESTION

I think that you should change the rules for camping. Now hear me out:

1. Camping is an actual strategy, and is actually pretty smart.. For example, if you're being attacked at your base on Eggwars, you are going to stay at your base to block the attacks and keep your egg. But sadly, that makes you a camper, so you can't.

2. If somebody is "camping" and defending from you, find another strategy. For example, lets say people are shooting you while you are trying to build a bridge to their base. Just find another way around, like protecting the bridge, or going to the other people's bases that are near by. There is always another solution to campers.

3. If you are going to make camping against the rules, put it on the /rules! I had no idea that you could even do /rules, neither that camping was on the rules on the website. I'm also kind of confused exactly what you mean by "camping," because it is a vague topic.

Please take into consideration and tell me in the comments if I made a mistake. Put your answer in the poll below or above. I don't quite know where it is. :P

I agree that the rule is kind of vague, but it shouldn't be removed because camping for sure is the biggest problem I personally encounter. It's extremely annoying to fight campers and it ruins the whole gameplay of the game and it makes some games take more than 1 hour to be finished..

My point is that, though, there is always another way to get around campers, even if it takes a long time. Sometimes, if people didn't camp, then it would be incredibly easy to destroy their egg.

I mean... Camping is like blocking yourself around in blocks so no one can get you. Staying at your base at eggwars isn't really camping... In eggwars camping would be considered as like building to the max top and blocking yourself so no one can get you and not leaving that area. Plus you can only be punished for camping in the time of like 30 minutes, staying in the same exact place for 30 minutes not moving. Soo... eggwars camping shouldn't be removed because it's like impossible to kill someone that builds all the way to the top and blocks themselves in so no one can get them, that would be considered camping

Is very different to camp in your island protecting your egg and, another thing is if you are in a game,you don´t have an egg,get a bow, some arrows and a lot of blocks and go up:
-Camping in the sky will be baneable
-Camping in your island to protect the egg it isn´t baneable.

Also i want to say ask about including a compass in Eggwars Team/Solo Skywars,because i have played games in Skywars in Snowmen where i stay alive with a camper who was camping in the Snowman,compass will be include in all kits,in other words, all people will received a comppas that will let you go to hide players/campers!

Point 1: I disagree that it is considered a 'strategy' it just buy time for the opposing team. While one team tries to build a bridge (tries because it's made impossible), the other team is collecting resources and better protecting the egg. If we all went by that mentality we wouldn't get far in the game.

Point 2: There's a problem with trying to find another way, you can't. That's the issue with camping. I'll use a game you might recall as an example: one team tries to build a bridge, other team has punch bow and makes process impossible. Whilst doing so the other team can constantly make more and more arrows because they are camping.

Point 3: I do agree we need to stress the rules more, though it is in our rules (here) its not really implemented much in game. I do somewhat agree that camping is a vague topic, but is widely known through minecraft and most games. It's basically what the name means, you camp out in one spot and don't move.

Overall rules on camping will not change, I would prefer we stress the rules more, but it will remain a rule. Its unfair and makes games last much longer than needed. There are plenty of ways to protect your egg without camping. There is a minimum of two players per team for a reason.

The thing is, my friend was kicked for doing what you said is not camping.

Well, my friend was kicked for camping when he was doing what you didn't consider camping (guarding the egg) and not towering up to the top of the world. I think they need to be more specific with their rules.

they should add AFK timers for people hiding in an imposible place.. say after 10 minutes of AFK'ness they will be kicked.. I had recently played a game of team skywars that lasted for 1 hour PLUS..

The definition of what is camping and what isn't is just way too vague...I was called a camper once because I didn't want to attack until I had bought full iron armor with a sword, pickaxe and both bows. But if you can't do that then what is the point of upgrading the generators on your island?

Ikr?!?! That's what I'm saying in this article, there needs to be an exact definition of it.

In Eggwars, Skywars, and such, camping is pretty much when you either create some type of unreachable skybase, or just hide in a hole the whole game, not being able to be found. The main problem with this is that if you do not have an online moderator, there's a fairly low chance that you can get a camper kicked - as creating a report against them requires video evidence. That somewhat needs to change, but there's no way to.
