I strongly believe that this needs to be a feature for all gamemodes as it'll help out a ton. For games that have instant respawn (such as bridge duels), having to swap items to your preferred slot takes a bit of time after you respawn. So why not add a feature where you would be able to set a preferred item slot. A bit how Hypixel and Fortnite have it where an item is automatically put in that slot without having to swap and change it out manually. In Hypixel, if you die, the items are in the same exact slot before you died.

Currently, in Bridge Duels, your inventory is put in this order.
1. Sword
2. Pickaxe
3. Axe
4. Bow
5-7. Blocks

I see this as annoying for almost every platform that plays this. On KBM, you're forced to press 1-9 or your selected hotkey to select an item, which is can get annoying if your hotkey goes to a slot where for instance, your blocks are not in that slot. Controller players will have a few problems, having to cycle left/right multiple times to get into the slot that they want to be in. Not sure how mobile players have their ways of selecting different items.

Before the 1.19 update of Cubecraft bridges, the game was perfect.

Also remove fall damage and wood planks from Bridge DUELS. Can get annoying :)

This would also be useful in some other games, like in battle arena, in ffa the wizard kit has a lot of options and for controller players it takes forever to use potions sometimes since some of them are far away from the slot where your sword is.

I used to be a controller player myself, I had a lot of problems switching to items as some were too far away. Ig controller players might have a better experience/advantage if so.
