It's called campers. Yay.
Camping? What is that? (in case you live under a rock)
Basically separating your island from everything else and sit there for the rest of the game, and shooting anyone who tries to get close to you.
Why is this a problem? Well, it slows the game down, results in long and boring games, makes it uninteresting, 90% of the time you're on generators doing nothing, and it's annoying.
For the people who don't get why camping is a problem, I recommend you watch this:
(not my video)
Okay, camping is bad, then why does it occur?
Because it's apparently a better strategy for most players. There are more and better defensive weapons than offensive ones(especially with OP mode, but that's another story). Camping is easier than attacking a player, and some players on cubecraft just like to camp.
Solutions?
One options is speed-mode @Donald Trump .You could also try to sneak attack campers, but if they see you you're falling in the void within 3 seconds. You could also try to just brute-force them by building a safe-skybridge at build limit fully equipped with a shield, TNT, gapples to get down, etc. You get the point. Problem is, it takes pretty fornicating(lol sorry) long to do. To solve this, Cube could make camping more unappealing, by for instance making the generators on mid faster, or by buffing/adding more offensive gear. Examples could be: (half-broken) Elytras, (expensive or only late-game) Enderpreals, Pistons(flymachines)?, Levitation potions and invisibility potions. Around enderpreals and elytras is a lot of discussion, so these could maybe be options, maybe not. Maybe only after a certain amount of time?
Not sure about pistons, it would change a lot in Eggwars but nonetheless could work out great.
I think the best solution would be levitation and invisibility potions. With levitation you can fly to the enemy without building a huge bridge that takes ages to build, and with invisibility you can try to be sneaky and get there unseen. They are not too overpowered, because with levitation you are a huge target for bows and there also is a lot of fall damage coming for you when the effect stops, and invisibility makes you very vulnerable to any kind of damage. (because wearing armor+invis doesn't work)
What do you think?
