Hey, everyone, I am looking into buying a new computer with a budget of $700NZD, Could anyone help me find or make a goodish computer? ;) cheers
The computer self or plus all the accessories (mouse, mousepad, headset, microphone, etc...) :eek:My computer cost $4000 :p
That is horrible XD I am so not buying that :P In a processor the core is important and I have a six core processor!(I realize I'm late but maybe the OP is still looking for help)
If you have the knowledge and skills to build your own computer you can find some great builds around the price range you have. Otherwise try finding a nice laptop, powerful doesn't always mean better :^)
My advised build:
For the CPU I recommend you look for something that's not too powerful but is good enough to handle what you want to do! Now if you want a PC for gaming you're going to want to spend the best part of your budget on a GPU. So for you CPU I'd say go for an Intel Pentium (click link for example), bare minimum for most games nowadays is 2 core CPU's and most pentium's have a clock speed of over 3 GHz which should give you smooth performance.
For the RAM.. I mean I could say just do what you want but ram is expensive depending on the brand. I'd say you be safe to go with 8 GB of DDR3 memory (like this). I myself run off of 8GB of ram and have never encountered a problem, so 8GB should set you up for a long time.
You're motherboard.. hmm really anything that's ATX works (ATX = medium/pretty much the main size) so go with what you can and make sure it's the same as you're case (micro atx case and atx motherboards don't work), ensure the board supports DDR3 Ram (DDR3 is best price) and has a PCI Express slot!
Case I really mention above, make sure it's the correct size and a nice price, don't blow your budget on a case.
Now, GPU! Wait.. no we still need storage. I recommend a 1 TB HDD (this) I have a 2 TB and over the span of a year I've used up a whole TB of it (keep in mind that I do a lot of video editing, graphic design and store a lot.. A LOT of stuff on my PC for backup), so if you're just a casual gamer and also use the computer for homework.. or work (shrug) then 1 TB will do you fine. (but seriously, if you have money left over and you know you'll need it, go for 2 TB)
Now for GPU! YES! Okay, so I'm gonna guess you'll mainly play minecraft, easy. And.. as much as I hate this I will recommend you the GT 730.. you don't have a huge budget, understandable so to start you off this should do great (just don't be expecting to run things like GTA V and Crysis 3.. it just ain't gonna happen)
So, I've tried to lightly (lol) go into detail about my recommendations when you buy parts. For fans and cpu coolers and power supplys (power supply, get I'd say a 300 or 400 watt PSU) I have no clue, someone else will have to help you there.
If you need me to explain more just shoot me a PM anytime!
Oh well I apologies for trying to keep you're budget in mind, It's my advised build, meaning you don't have to go for it (I was just giving ideas)That is horrible XD I am so not buying that :p In a processor the core is important and I have a six core processor!
The graphic card is worse then I have, but it highly depends what games you going to be playing. I also do youtube so I need fast render so 1080 is good :DOh well I apologies for trying to keep you're budget in mind, It's my advised build, meaning you don't have to go for it (I was just giving ideas)
I'd recommend CyberPowerSystems; you can fully customise your pc and their prices are decent. If you want a cheap but decent computer and don't want to build one I would always reccomend an ibuypower of since they give you a lot of bang for your buck :p
Please... have you even read the forum rules? :/Buy yourself a toaster with mcdonalds internet connection :)
