Seriously people? I propose an interesting bow stopping arrow idea and even though the one argument against it that has come up is easily refutable, everyone says "Nah" without using their noggins to think about it. Then this idea with incredibly obvious issues get a boatload of likes and support? That's just mean. Okay, I assume that even if I use logic to say why this probably wouldn't work, half the people here will ignore me and blindly keep insisting this is a good idea, but here we go:

Case 1: By 'reset generators' you mean set them back to the state where they can be repaired. People now saved 5 diamonds and gold in their inventory or a chest, and then just instantly repair their generators and keep camping. It does nothing to help at all.

Case 2: By 'reset generators' you mean break them permanently, leaving them unable to be fixed. Now while non-campers are out fighting and using their arrows and such, campers will be sitting on their generators buying as many arrows and such as they can. Then when all the generators break, the players who weren't camping are much more likely to run out of arrows and other stuff before the campers do, because they weren't sitting on the generator the whole time before it broke. This would make camping even more viable.

I hate games like that even if i win its no fun i dont even say "gg" in chat if its a quick game because i want longer games, also rushing is not that easy, either hit you off r on some maps like space or pizza, never go to mid at all because they dont have to

I mean I have no problem playing longer games, but the longer the game goes on the longer the campers get time to build their "fort" around their island, gather resources and just wait out the game. If me and my team rush the other teams and they're unprepared then it'll be a nice short game.

By far the easiest method to deal with campers is rush, which is why I dislike the new update (it discourages rushing) so basically this update forces long games, which is why I dont play any maps with emeralds (Of course they just have to be added to my favorite solo map) Also, the maps with emerald generators (except CamperDaSea) don't have any camper problems. They could've added it to you know, Aztec? Teaparty?

The challenge is beating your previous time of eliminating everyone :P There's strategy in rushing, you have to communicate with your team so everyone knows whose doing what. Sure it's a nice challenge in longer games, I just prefer shorter ones

So I agreed with everyone else in that people could just stock up diamonds in their inventory or a chest in order to instantly repair the 'reset' generators.

But what if the game not only breaks every generator, but also removes every resource (Iron, gold, diamond and emerald tokens) from the game. This means all your tokens stored in chests, in your inventory and even thrown on the floor will be wiped. This would mean no matter what the case, they have to move from their base to go back to mid. The generators in mid will then start spawning tokens again to collect.

And of course when they do go to mid, that's your chance to raid their base :D

So basically start the game again? :P I don't like it (don't kill me again pls)

I don't know why people even hate camping so much.
I agree, it's very annoying to beat and it's way to overpowered for what you need to do, but it's a strategy.
A valid strategy that can get you in a winning position.
When do you consider someone camping? When they break all their bridges and farm resources for 5 minutes?
When they go to their island and farm for 10 minutes?
There's a reason they're farming, and after a while it isn't even effective anymore and all they do at that point is shoot at you.

It's similar to starting the game again but it wouldn't be exactly the same because you'll still have all your other items ie. iron armor, food, axe etc. and also obviously the players that have been eliminated still remain very much dead. The only thing that gets removed completely is iron, gold, diamond & emerald tokens, which would then start spawning again at mid.

Did I kill you last time? xD If so, whoops! Call 999 we need a defib unit ASAP : P (or should i call RSPCA... Idek anymore)

I agree it's a strategy and it makes the game challenging and rewarding when you beat them. No matter what gets added to the game campers will always camp. My issue isn't really with campers, its the lack of options to combat it. Sure you can rush or try to bridge across, but both these methods require a measure of luck in order to work. It shouldn't be like that in my opinion, it should be that the more skilled player/team wins the match.

Personally I don't see any problem with adding Elytra into the game. It would provide another way of entering an enemy base (a very valid option against campers), it would look and feel frickin' awesome and it wouldn't be an OP item if you made it expensive to buy as well as the fact that to use it you have to remove your chestplate. Also, you can still be shot down if you get caught (although its a hard shot to pull off). So I think Elytra would be a really balanced item, but I guess I should make my own thread about it instead of banging on about it here...

Sacrificing a chestplate slot during flight? No problem! Put one on when you land! In OP it matters even less since faceplanting won't deal any damage.
And so you know, High prices do not mean balanced items.

Noooooooo, I can't tell if you simply misunderstood or if you're being sarcastic as usual or what... : P I meant it's balanced because although its an effective way of getting behind enemy lines, it has its flaws such as the chestplate thing, the chance to get shot mid-flight and the high price. I didn't mean it was just the high price that would balance it...

If you were being sarcastic, I'm afraid its wasted on me :L If you fly ninja style into an enemy base, you have bags of time to put a chestplate on when you land. And even if they see you land you still have a little bit of time to re-equip a chestplate (especially if you land somewhere smart like on a ledge or something to buy you some time).

If you weren't being sarcastic, then my bad. Yay, thanks for the support... I think?

I like this idea, it seems like a good concept. It has it's flaws, but then again, nothing is perfect.

The chest plate slot doesn't matter. Players don't / barely have any experience with shooting people flying with an elytra, so getting shot is a very small chance.
As soon as you land on their island, you can easily switch to an actual chest plate within 3 seconds.

And no, I wasn't sarcastic. I just like to make these things fun to read occasionally.

Maybe a bit of a dumb question, but do chat prefixes exist on Cubecraft Java like they do on Bedrock?
