Well 1.7 & 1.8 have so many supporters I can't see it being removed tbh. Look at all those big mini games servers like hypixel etc or factions servers they are all in 1.7 & 1.8...

And with plugins, it also isn't hard to replicate blocking & the bows prior to 1.9.
The point is, people that prefer to play with 1.8, should have the right to have their favorite game with 1.8 combat too.

He is entitled to his opinion as anyone else. Because we don't share the same opinion doesn't mean he is wrong nor his opinion is less valid than mine or anyone else's.
Ye ye. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter how much support it gets it will have to get removed when so many versions have been introduced to Minecraft such as 1.11.2. They added a lot of stuff that doesn't exist in 1.8+. That's one of the reasons it will be removed. Hypixel has 1.8 but they are waaaaaaaay behind the Minecraft updates.

Yeah is a good idea, a lot of players love play in 1.8 versions and hates 1.9 pvp, i only can i say is SoonTM

to be honest i used to hate 1.9 but then i got used to it and loved it more then 1.8 but i do agree that they should try and make every game that is in 1.9 into 1.8 as well but give them a chance then maybe you will get this in the future.
