So recently I noticed that I get kicked crazy often while playing on Cubecraft. Most likely its my internet. But since I bet I'm not the only one with suckish internet, I'll post this anyway :P

Right now Cubecraft is hosted by OVH and the servers are in France. This is probably why I get better connection to other Minecraft servers in North America. I have had a ton of servers by OVH and its resellers, and I know it doesn't have the best network for a server.

I suggest Cubecraft add a North American server node, and then synchronize it to France. This should provide NA players a better connection.

I'm not sure about the cost of this, the American node shouldn't be too expensive nor fancy. But it would help a lot with player connections I think.

I usually get under 100ms ping (I'm on the east coast), but far too often I have to deal with lag spikes that result in rubber banding. The lag has gotten a lot less troublesome lately (thank God that the block pillaring rubber banding is gone), but it's still annoying to the point that I support the idea of opening a NA server.

A north American server is on the developeRS list of things to work on. I don't have ping issues and I live in new jersey, but I can imagine that this is an issue in other areas of the United States and Canada

Thanks for the support. Apparently it only got worse ever since I "upgraded" my internet. But still, internet signals go through underwater cables across the ocean which could really drop your ping, since they handle tremendous amounts of traffic.

Also block pillering was a glitch with the 1.9 anti cheat, not lag. I could smell it. Anti cheats always break after a MC update and CubeCraft rushed the 1.9 one.

Anticheats are never not-broken.. o_O
Anti cheats are one of the most complex plugins out there :P You're trying to calculate vectors yet everything you do is assuming the player has no lag. With lag you got to take all your vectors and make sure everything still makes sense if you take 500-1000 ms worth of player travel time during a lag spike.

Its complicated :P

It's already coming but we don't give out the exact dates of our projects. Patience is a virtue ;)

That's because devs take forever :p I have experience in procrastinating too.

I'd actually be happier if it was procrastination, because that means we can cut it down and start releasing stuff, so you guys can be happy.

Sadly, that is not the case, it takes time to develop thousands of lines of code for each of these features, and test them, then deploy them. Running a network of this size is not a simple "drag and drop" to add a feature, very far from it.
