Recently, I just played a game of skywars and somehow I got outvoted so it was night time, like the eggwars map space everyone can barely see.
Adding torches to chest and on the islands will be a lot more easier for players and you could fight better, instead of guessing where the enemy is. Also we can see if someone is shooting at us when we are crossing bridges.

Torches will make the whole "night time" thing a lot more better.

It's pretty simple, not long to add this feature.

This thread is pretty similar to the thread [Add glow stone to eggwars map SPACE]

You wanna see when it's night time?
Let me help you out.

Press windows key + r.
Type %appdata% and hit enter.
Open .minecraft (probably on top of the files list)
Open options.txt
Change "gamma:<your current number>" to "gamma:10" or anything above 10.
Save the file and close it.

Alternatively:
Open minecraft.
Go to "Options...", then to "Resource Packs..."
Click "Open resource pack folder"
In the destination bar or whatever it's called, click .minecraft, It looks something like this: \AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resourcepacks
Open options.txt
Change "gamma:<your current number>" to "gamma:10" or anything above 10.
Save the file and close it.

Congratulations! You can now see in the dark without a problem.

Well in case you didn't know, in your video settings there is an option called 'brightness" if you put that on "bright' your vision will be better. Also adding torches would not really help if people can break them so I know why it could annoy you but I think you haven't changed your video settings yet. If so then just leave the game :3
