I believe cube should not allow use of older versions of minecraft on the server.

I know when I use to use hacks on mobile years ago (before xbox and featured setvers) I would use the APK version of minecraft so I wouldn’t be able to be banned on the app I would download from the play store

Also, allowing support for older versions keeps more cheaters. Know Fate is an allowed client on cube but I will use it as an example, it is only for 1.16.100 not 1.16.200 so it is unable to run. Making other hacked clients easier to use (on an APK, or just not updating your client at all, again making it easier to cheat)

I’ve also been told by people that the KB changes between clients? Doesn’t make sense to me but if it does no player deserves an advantage

How is it unfair?
This is BEDROCK not JAVA not all players have a choice if they want to downgrade or not. Xbox players have been stuck on 15Frames for the past 8months making the game u playable for them, they have no choice to downgrade to an older version for that FPS back.

Windows10 has the smallest amount of players compared to xbox and mobile
Image is from 2016, but with more consoles like thr Switch and PS4 I doubt Win10 has passed them. I couldn’t find a newer version.

Mostly Win10 users are downgrading that I’ve seen just because how easy it is to on Win10, downgrading for either more frames or the revert PvP Mechanics.
The majority of players can’t even do this expecting nobody has a hacked console and the mobile copies are split 50/50 IOS and Android...

This isn’t java, I can’t easily load up 1.9 or 1.16 or whatever version I want, nobody can do it like that, they have to uninstal there current version and download an older version through an APK...

I can not run Fate on 1.16.2 when the game was update to that version all clients can’t use hacks on release, meaning for a short time hackers are unable to play because they have to recreate the entire dll file or whatever

Technically it is possible to go back in versions on all consoles if you bought the game physically. But you can only go back to the first version that is on disc by deleting the game and reinstalling it off the disc.

Yes, but thats also limited by the disc, my disc is for the Legacy edition where it was the first ever tutorial world, but to a specific version I can’t discs don’t come out with every update wither only the really big ones I would believe... but PC and Android can download an APK and get a hacked version of the game easily

These are bedrock clients so Lunar has no say in this thread. Also Lunar doesnt reduce KB but it does give extra reach.

youre not going to solve any problems by depreciating support for older versions. This will do 2 things. 1) cut out the player base that purposely plays on older versions because 1.16.100-200 is just straight up garbage, laggy, and unstable. Lots of people I know have not updated purposely for this reasin. And 2) once the hacked clients release for the current version, theres literally no point. Overall, this would cause more problems than it solves, so its a definite no from me.

Not unless you play on 1.14 or 1.12 respectively, and anyways these clients cant join cubecraft anyway.

Custom texture packs work through my update, mostly the packs don’t uodate with any new blocks added... my pack still works perfectly fine, and I bet the pack I made a few years ago does too

It would be nice for me to downgrade on xbox yes it would be I get 15FPS with less in center map with regular freeze framing. The point is I’M STUCK WITH THAT I can’t downgrade to get an older version, I have to sit there and get PISSED OFF at not only me being unable to see as well as unbearable input lag, I went to the Legacy version of MC today I’m getting constant 60FPS no matter where I am or how many lingering pots are on the ground in “Battles” or the built in SurvivalGames gamemode.

Guess what I can’t my pc tuns 30FPS streaming being choppy and 140 with MC itself. Now? I played it before it broke I was still getting around 130-140 FPS It’s a laptop not a PC with chrome heating thr CPU to 70° and to 90° on MC.

I’m stuck on an Xbox that gets 15FPS the 10FPS you lose on pc is incomparable to the 45 I lose on xbox when I play

you chose to play on PC/ Xbox all have certain advantages and downfalls if everything was fair that defeats the point of the better together update since somebody can just get on PC and downgrade or mobile and get better hits

I chose to play PC because of the frames on Xbox, I lived with the FPS problem for 3 Months before I bought the Win10 version of MC.
I was perfectly content with playing xbox, I’m not bad at it, the only reason I bought the PC version was so I could play with something more than 15....

Theres a reason all my games are on xbox, I just prefer controller, I have my PC to create renders and Animations, but I started using it for well minecraft because Xbox just became unplayable. Any other game runs fine like CW or Battlefront 2 Minecraft is the only game I have and Payed for on PC

Lunar was banned from cubecraft as of unfair advantages so just like lunar, older versions should not be allowed to join cubecraft on Bedrock

Exactly, not everyone is able to download Lunar like they can download like 1.12 over 1.16(or whatever advantage you would get from any update this is just a random example)
You would have to get it from a 3rd party site and not the Java Launcher.
Lunar is not a direct client to MC the only thing between them that is the same is that it’s Minecraft.
Downgrading to an older gersion of MC is using an APK or just not updating at all.
APK’s are not only used to downgrade but to get the game without paying for it, the APK doesn’t have a different Manifest ir whatever like if you were to buy it from the Microsoft store every APK file downloaded from the one site will all be the same client and not unique to a user but is the same for all those users. Making it easier to mask cheaters.

XBOX AND IOS CAN NOT DOWNGRADE WITHOUT MODIFYING THE DEVICE. On Android it is so easy to download an APK as well as Win10. Meaning an Xbox player can’t downgrade before the bee update to get there 60FPS back they are stuck on 1.16.200 with 15 FPS.

PEOPLE ARE DOWNGRADING FOR A PVP ADVANTAGE. Not only for FPS but for an advantage...

How does a hacked client work? They surely don’t work server side they work client side, but the server has the ability to detect suspicious movements.
For Example NUKKIT is a server that runs in Java, Nukkit allows bedrock players and Java players be on the same server.... Me who has Bedroxk and Java can confirm that I was able to connect on both accounts at once on a NUKKIT written server. GUESS WHAT I COULDN’T DO ON JAVA? That’s right I was unable to jump bridge, but on bedrock on the JAVA 1.16 server I was able to Jump Bridge giving me an unfair advantage
THIS IS A BEDROCK SPECIFIC SERVER THOUGH not a Nukkit not everyone on Bedrock can downgrade so that’s why I believe it should not be allowed on BEDROCK

Why is this like a hacked client? Because they are gaining a PvP advantage (Just like Lunar) over players that are unable to revert the update on Xbox and IOS.

I BOUGHT WIN10 EDITION SPECIFICALLY FOR FPS I was content with playing Xbox like I said before, but I felt like I HAD to buy the Win10 version to play. I play xbox to play controller and use PC for M&K. I did not specifically buy Win10 Edition for the M&K advantage. That is not cheating, The cheating part is downgrading to an older version to gain an advantage on other players that may be unable to downgrade.

ANOTHER THING IS ITS NOT SAFE TO DOWNGRADE, you are downloading an APK FILE to be put into an older version of MC because this is BEDROCK and not JAVA where it’s easily accessible from the Launcher. THIS MAY CONTAIN MALWARE. This is why CubeCraft shows allowed clients not only to confirm that it is safe on the server, but to the user as well.
Another reason to why this ISN’T SAFE/GOOD IDEA is you can lose your worlds theres no auto backup, once you delete the new version everything in the .minecraft folder is LOST

I’m not saying it’s going to be all the time, it’s unsafe it’s an APK file having the same client UUID as multiple people.
And again Console and IOS players do not have an option to downgrade.
People downgrade for more than just the FPS
It’s unfair to other players, because your movement is client side not server so downgrading the servers mean nothing
Bedrock is “Better Together” so if you gotta downgrade for an advantage over mobiles and xbox players you shouldn’t be allowed to play cube.

Your windows10 for christ sake your the smallest community on bedrock with mobile alone having more players than win10 what damn advantages do you need to beat a mobile player? There a mobile your already m&k that should be the only advantage you get, you shouldn’t need to revert to an older version of mc to kill mobile players.

You aren’t going to be able to play cube once MC updates to 1.17, this isn’t java. What’s the point of downgrading?
