Java Addressing lagg

So lag is an issue. I myself am a lagger. Twice in my 5ish years of playing on cubecraft have i been below 100 ping. Almost everyday im told i need to get wifi or fix my internet.

This is not at all fair, and heres why

I have some of the best internet you can get, however i am in the us, which is a half a world away from where the server is hosted. Ive been told i should leave the server, or i should move closer to the server. I am definitely not going to be leaving the server. As for getting closer to the server, i could only do this by moving to europe. Moving to the other side of the world just to have good ping is not at all practical.

I have also seen suggestions where cubecraft makes a second server for laggy people. Im betting cubecraft doesnt have the rescources for that, and if they did, it would be a dumb way to use them. So making a second server will not be happening.

Lagging is alyaws just going to be a part of life on the server. I wish i could do more, i really do, but i cant, and im sorry. Just know that telling myself and other high ping player to buy wifi is not accurate, and will also not really do anything.

The thing is, for some players that’s not enough... so they say buy wifi because what else could they say? The most funny think is, I really hope that most players (on java) play with ethernet and not wifi (playing with wifi will make your ping higher) so buying better wifi is kind of the wrong thing to buy.
You should never leave the server because other players ask you to do so, the server is fun, amazing, ... and you should stay! Especially now that you’re using 5zig :)

Ya im still confused about all the different customization stuff in 5zig. Its basically the same as betterhud but with a different ui

This post is for reasonable ping players who are frustrated by laggers. More then once, ive been running across a bridge to mid or my island, when im hit by a punch bow. Because of my lag, i took delayed kb, and i took the kb after i was on my island. If not for the delayed kb, i definetly would have died. I would be mad if this happened to me, so i can sympathize. But u need to see it from our end. Theres simpally nothing we can do about it. Its juat something youll have to live with, as i also said above.

Not at all, there are laggers that have advantage which is not fair bcs it has the actions like hacks wich is bannable. What I mean by actions like hacks is teleporting around you causing you almost can’t hit them and they can hit you, this refers to bhopping.

Not at all, there are laggers that have advantage which is not fair bcs it has the actions like hacks wich is bannable. What I mean by actions like hacks is teleporting around you causing you almost can’t hit them and they can hit you, this refers to bhopping.

Well, like i said in the first post, theres not really anything we can do. You also have to understand that being laggy also puts us at disadvantage. Often, my hits dont register, i hav block glitches, and i lag back alot. I have also fought laggers, and i 100% understand how it feels like bhop. Sometimes it also feels like reach to me. Just my experiences.

However, they do have some form of system which kicks players with extreme lag because they typically freeze and flag a fly packet. But people do use software to lag themselves aka 'laggers', there isn't anything CubeCraft or anyone on the team can do to differentiate between legit or self-induced lag.

That system doesn’t work at all tho, it should just kick players above 200ms. I see a lot of players with 999+ms that ain’t getting kicked. Also it would be better if they do a 5min ban to make it a sort of afk ban wich would solve this solution a lot already.

Invoking things such as AFK bans wouldn't achieve anything, just kicking the player to the hub would be effective. The reason you don't see it as 'effective', is because once they are in the game and playing, its unfair to a kick who is lagging or not Players ping change constantly and some can go from 10ms - 20ms to 200ms for like a minute or 20 seconds. Kicking them would make the match unfair and frustrate players with such ping.

So ur basically saying that people that are far away from the host should be kicked because of ping they cant do anything about? Im sorry, but thats really dum.
