It has been suggested maaany times. The only problem people find is:
It can potentially harm players. Someone could come around and type a nasty, mean message on either their own profile or someone else's. Then they could use the edit button to change it to something that doesn't break a rule.
^^^^^ some things to say about this:
-You can always take a screenshot when someone breaks a rule
-Staff will be able to see all the edit logs

If you still think this shouldn’t be a thing, pls at least allow us to edit statuses. It’s annoying when you make a spelling mistake and have to delete the status, type it again an wait 45s :L

Positive: Mistakes can be changed very easily and that's probably the biggest reason why people want this
Negative: people can say nasty things and can edit it out very easily, my biggest fear is changing the context. Let's say you're talking about a cow, and you say "yeah it's very fat", that users changes his sentence to "were you talking about my mom", boom there you get a disrespectful person that was completely not meant to be.
Arguments: basicly everything on forums that you made yourself is editable, threads, replies to that thread, etc... so wouldn't see much of a difference here.
Ideas: only be able,to edit your own posts and messages + a cooldown.
The more ideas the better this suggestion might be.

Have been thinking about this a lot, be still can't choose whether I want this or not, it's not that hard to contact a staff member to change something for you.

So from now on, I can message you everytime I made a one letter mistake? Would give staff alot more (unnecessary) work, but I also understand what is wrong with editing them
Well, I would expect that you first read before you post something, mistakes can be made, but on a regular basis would also be "meh" for me.

Possible solution: you can edit (only) statuses only when nobody has commented on it. I think this would be a nice solution. (The main problem here is that I’d like to edit my status just few seconds after I posted it)

that’s another solution but I don’t like to message a staff member just because I typed “hkuse” instead of “house” :l

That's to be honest a briliant idea
no thats a rubbish idea lol
what if i notice a mistake later? 1 minute is a very short amount of time

all the cons are just a pile of rubbish because devs are too lazy to implement it should definitely be added

Well, I usually re-read the sentence I wrote, so then I'd find my mistake and edit it.

It's better than having not a chance to edit it

Then 2 minutes or something, but not longer to let the thing happen said above, where someone could troll you by changing the message hours later

I was walking down the street tonight, NO COSTUME, just me, my green sweater, and my brown dog. And someone gasps and says "Yooo it's Shaggy and Scooby Doo!" wild.
We used rainbow jelly… turns out it works on players too. 🌈
