Anti-Bowspamming Feature

I had an idea for a system that removes the ability to bowspam as no one likes it.

It would remove all ways of spamming the bow to do large amounts of knockback and damage.

The way it would have to do it is by having a bow cooldown or aattack speed like with weapons.

The only problem i see is people complaining xD.

Like it or not, bow spamming is a valid tactic and does require some skill to perform.
If you dislike it, try and find a way to counter it. For example: Walk backwards (towards the bow spammer) and strafe so you can place blocks behind you while he's trying to shoot you. That way you can both dodge and make a backboard. Placing walls in front of you while he's bow spamming works as well.
Implementing a feature to "remove" bow spamming would just be inconvenient for those of us who shoot multiple times without it even actually counting as bow spamming (in our opinion).

People vastly overestimate how much (or little) of a problem blowspamming is, or they don't know what bowspamming even is. If you're on a 1 block bridge and get sot off, you weren't bowspammed. If you run near the edges of island and get shot off, you weren't bow spammed. It's also easily counterable, just walk to the side.


I'll also let you in on a little secret, good players are almost impossible to bowspam to death.

im sorry but i dont think bow spamming is a bad thing. i for one "bow spam." Some people are really good at archery and some arent, and they need to bow spam for it. 1.9 already made clicking a lot crap, so bows DONT need a cooldown

They don't like it, because they can't stand losing to something that they don't know how to counter, and just assume that it's easy to do and requires no skill. If you were to try bow-spamming yourself, you would quickly find that it's not as easy as people make it seem. You have to predict every strafe perfectly and ahead of time, to deal minuscule damage and knockback.
