You know the drill. You'd have to give warnings before reporting someone. It is reasonable that most people don't know this, because a) most servers don't require this, and b) on most servers this isn't allowed under "minimodding" (also you might be muted). So my suggestion is to add an auto-warning system. Basically, what happens is that if someone is reported for a first offense without a warning, staff will put a warning on someone's punishment record. It tells someone they're doing something wrong without actually punishing them. If, however, a warning was given, the auto-warning will be skipped and a punishment automatically issued.

Also why 2-3 warnings (as of now)? Why not just one? One warning is usually enough.

Yeah this idea is good, but if you could warn someone in-game multiple times and they keep going, you could report them and get them muted without having to report multiple times. That seems just a lot more efficient. Maybe both ways still work? But that'd be an extra step for staff going through reports, they'd have to check the warnings counter or whatever it is exactly. So I'm sort of indifferent. +/-0

Yeah, that was what I was kinda saying: if you warn, insta-mute, otherwise, staff give warning.

A server that I know has an anti-ban system. If you hack the staff will be noticed with a message what he is suspected.

1.You may not know about the warning rule.
2. You may be muted.
3. You may be unable to give warnings for whatever reason (eg: PvP situation).
4. If a player gives a warning, the accused might think that they're just being jerks. In other words player-given warnings may not be taken seriously.

The only reason why players must give warnings is because the software does not support auto-warnings, right?

An auto warning system is pretty much in place considering i was sending a link to a player and a msg came up telling me not to spam, But this is a good idea +1. As for the # of warnings, i would give a player 2 warnings and if the problem still isn't corrected then i would take action.

You've got to be original... but you've got to be good too, right? Take Mineplex for example. They're "unique" in a way, for example, the fact that you have to wait 15 seconds before entering a game lobby. Is that unique? Definitely. But is that good? No!

We actually had that feature with Skywars... Its was annoying as fudge so they removed...
But I get your point...

Mineplex is unique in many bad ways.

Anyways, this could help staff by reducing the number of reports. So why not? Even if it isn't original, what's saying that it isn't better for the network?

Hi! I'm new, and I don't really understand necroposting. There is an option to tick that says 'I understand that this post is 3 months old and would still like to reply', should we just never tick that? If so, what is its purpouse?
