Hey, I'm making this thread to raise some more awareness for Assassinations and to suggest a couple more things. With this thread I'm trying to make some changes happen in Assassinations, I want to make these changes happen because the game is becoming less fun for me and a lot of others and there are a couple of reasons why.

The first reason is that every diamond player camps inside the shops, when I have diamond I don't find it a challenge to kill a bunch of players who don't have diamond armor, it doesn't give me a satisfaction and these players also get extremely annoyed that they keep dying by full diamond players. I already came up with a decent solution which could work quite well I believe. The solution can be found here: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/camping-assassinations.129380/ It basically says that everyone who leaves a shop isn't allowed back into that shop for at least 10 seconds, so the players who want to camp in/near the shop have to deal with the food problem inside the shop or deal with the timer going in and out of the shop.

The second reason is that everytime I kill a diamond player or someone who has decent stuff, everyone steals the loot, of course you could say that I should just be faster or that I should have more inventory space. Well I don't have a lot of inventory space as it's just filled with gear and other stuff, especially with the new spawnpoints players love to spawn close to where they died and grab as much stuff as they can, of course it's quite nice for them that they can take back the stuff which was theirs but I don't really think this is how the game should work. I already made a thread about this with a solution to fix the problem, the thread can be found here: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/loot-protection.129264/ The solution is that everytime you kill someone the loot is protected for the killer for around 5-10 seconds, which means nobody else can steal the loot and the killer can loot it for a couple of seconds and then other people can still take the rest.

The third reason is that almost everyone spams poison and instant damage potions, if someone just poisons you there are many things you can do to get rid of the poison, but if someone poisons you for 20 seconds and then throws around 10 potions of instant damage you're basically guarenteed dead. This is just extremely unfair and it shouldn't be the most effective way of killing players as it doesn't require any skill, and it also costs a very low amount of coins. So I suggest removing instant damage completely and upping the poison price to 100-200 coins each. Another problem is that everyone has a ton of golden apples, if you don't use instant damage and poison you just can't kill anyone as they can easily out eat your hits by constantly eating golden apples, so I think that the golden apple price should be changed to 150-250 coins each.

The fourth reason why Assassinations isn't as fun for me is because my inventory is constantly full with items like diamond armor and I can't really kill anyone as I'm not able to hold enough speed potions. There's also no point in having this much diamond gear, but you can't really do anything else with it than keeping it in your inventory, as you don't want to throw it in lava and you also don't really want to give it to other people unless they're teammates. (These are the inventories of my main: http://prnt.sc/bwx2jj and my alt: http://prnt.sc/bwxbiz) I thought of something that would allow you to exchange armor for coins, so I made a sort of formula which calculates how many coins you'd get back for whichever piece you exchanged: Coins given from exchange = Item price in shop x 0.5 x (durabilty left/full durability) So if you'd have a diamond chestplate that has 420/528 durability the calculation would be: 500 (as a diamond chestplate costs 500 coins in the shop) x 0.5 (I thought getting half the price back which the item costs in the shop for a full durability item seems alright, could be changed of course) x (420/528) = 250 x 0,795 = 199 coins. So for a diamond chestplate with 420/528 durability you'd get 199 coins for exchanging it.

Another reason is that I miss out on a ton of dark coins because I don't have inventory space and the dark coins are just way too useless and they take up way too much space, I suggested a couple things that would make dark coins worth picking up again, for example a coin exchanger which allows you to exchange your coins to another type of coins, so if you could go there and exchange 10 dark coins for one platinum coin. I also suggested that everytime you buy something the shop takes the dark coins first then the gold coins and as last the platinum coins, sometimes I want to buy a couple of speed potions at the shop whilst having a low amount of inventory slots. When I reach the shop I can only buy a couple of speed potions, but if the shop would've taken my dark coins first I could've bought more potions.

Sorry for suggesting the same things once again, but I really want things to change on Assassinations as I really like the gamemode, but some things just make the game less fun for me and a lot of others. I have no clue if any of the suggestions I've made will actually be implemented as I've never really see an admin accept any of my suggestions. The things I put in this thread are the main things that really need to be added/changed, you can check out the other threads I made about assassinations here: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/fix-assassinations.130504/.

Thanks for taking the time to read this long thread, I hope I could get some good feedback and maybe some information from an admin to see if any of this will get added/changed and when this might happen as a lot of people seem to be quitting the gamemode, and I don't want them to quit so I want things changed as quick as possible.

Great Suggestions! The only thing is, you already made several threads addressing all of these suggestions. Couldn't you have just tagged staff in those threads right now, instead of making a whole another thread.

For the first suggestion, I do see a lot of people camp in shop, but when they are in shop their hunger does go away very fast. I agree with this: "It basically says that everyone who leaves a shop isn't allowed back into that shop for at least 10 seconds."

For the second suggestion, I do agree with protecting the loot for 5-10 seconds.

For the third suggestion, maybe increase the price of Instant Damage potions too?

For the fourth suggestion, that would be great to exchange diamond armor.

The only thing is you said, "I've never really see an admin accept any of my suggestions." and "information from an admin to see if any of this will get added/changed and when this might happen as a lot of people seem to be quitting the gamemode" Admin's do not accept these threads. It is Developer's who accept suggestions and implement them. Quote from @Tacosbefriends profile: "Admins have absolutely nothing to do with the making of game servers. Asking us when Skyblock is coming back is like asking someone who works at an Apple store how long it'll take Apple to finish production for their new computers. We have literally no idea when Skyblock will be released. All we know is that it's being worked on and we expect it to be released some time this summer."

Cheers.

I felt like making a complete new thread would raise more awareness and it would have a higher chance of getting things changed/added.

1st: Well people are able to go in and out of the shop at any time resetting the loss of food in the shops by a lot.
2nd: Glad you like my suggestion.
3rd: Well I personally think that removing this potion is the best option, else it would have to be increased to around 100-250 coins per potion.
4th: Glad you like my suggestion.

The only thing is you said, "I've never really see an admin accept any of my suggestions." and "information from an admin to see if any of this will get added/changed and when this might happen as a lot of people seem to be quitting the gamemode" Admin's do not accept these threads. Well admins are the only people that respond to suggestions and if they find a really good suggestion they forward it to owners/devs I believe to see if the suggestion is worth adding and if it is possible. I've seen quite some times that for example TBF did this when he found a good suggestion. I also think you can't really compare accepting suggestions to saying when a game is ready to be released.

Splash Potion of Poison and the Splash Potion of Harming should not be removed.

They deserve to die in Minecraft Hell.
[Yes Minecraft Hell, this is where all things go to if they don't deserve the Nether because they are so cheap.]

I hate the Poison Potion if you didn't know yet...

Now, I don't know how the Assassin's economy is, but I do remember that when I got half iron/diamond armor with a decently good weapon, I got insta killed. Of course you can buy milk buckets, but when someone using poison and damage pots and you try to drink your milk, when you've finished drinking it, you will be like 1 hit away from death or so, so even the milk bucket won't save you in any way. In my opinion, these two potions should be removed, but I don't think I can do anything about it :/

Hey iLoveYouu,
Thanks for making this thread. I hope staff wil give these ideas some attention.

Evidence of this problem:

I agree with this whole thread, but probably staff doesn't care like usual (that's how it feels for most of the assassins players at the forums).
^^^^^^

Let's make Assassination great again :D

I've played assassins this month like, 3 hours. Sijpieboy watched me raging when some full diamond dude killed me while I had iron and he spammed pots. I'm getting sick of the game how it is rn and the less attention the game gets. And I know that busy games are first priority, but c'mon think about the players who love to play those second priority games. I'm just done with it. I've since the beginning of my assassins-addiction always had the feeling that staff didn't really cared about the game, but since 1.9 I've that idea that (except for a couple staff members) staff don't care at all. There used to be chalanges and fun things like slimejumps above the foodshop or dropparty's! They haven't been returned since 1.9 and it's just sad to see the game dying while it WAS my favorite game, because I can't enjoy it anymore.

Tagging so many staff members won't get you anywhere...

The amount of great suggestions for assassins is big though the gamemode always lacked attention.
What if they made some sort of Minigame out of it like Survival Games, the game gets its own lobby like every game and players would join a map, around 20 players or so would fit in the map. These maps will be smaller than the current assassins maps, every player spawns in a random spot, they have to collect coins to get better gear and kill everyone and the last man standing wins.

I'm not sure what people think of this, but assassins is a really cool gamemode, a lot of players like it but they quit because they die and they don't want to start over again or something as its difficult because they keep on getting killed by players with better gear. If it would be made into a minigame like I just said, players wouldn't really care and everyone starts of the same so it's fair. I just feel like this gamemode could be used to make a really popular and amazing gamemode, I just need to find out what can make it more popular.

I'm in charge of looking through suggestions and seeing what's good and what's bad. I don't personally implement the ideas though. However, because I am not involved with the actual production of code, plugins, etc. I cannot give an accurate time estimation for this one specific thing. I do, however, like getting tagged in interesting suggestions so I can see if they'd be good or not. Without further ado, let's look at these ideas!

As I've said before, there's really no elegant solution to keeping abusive players from shop camping without punishing everyone else. I'm not against these ideas, but I think there's got to be a better solution.

Speaking as a noob with no skill or honor, I would be devastated to find out I can't just be a vulture and swoop in on a dead guy's loot to get some swanky gear. (Also you're probably not gonna miss that guy's loot too much if your inventory's already stuffed) Assassins are sneaky, tricky, conniving, and smart. Thievery is just one of their many skills!

I've already addressed this. Hopefully we'll get some balancing implemented soon.

It's an interesting idea. Kinda like a recycling NPC or something?

Coin exchanger's a neat idea. I think I brought this up to the devs, not sure if we're adding it though.
