Since the merge, I've met some friendly and some less friendly players. I'll admit, I still prefer to hang out with my friends that I've had from Chunk but I still try to spend some time with some that I've met from Cube. But, I've still managed to make friends and enjoy my time on Cube.
I don't doubt that you and many other Chunkies didn't enjoy any time on Cube because you didn't give it enough time. Also, you were set in your old ways from Chunk, that you didn't change and adapt to Cube when the merge happened. I'm sure that if you came on the server and actually tried the games and talked to the players that you could have some fun and you might even enjoy the server.
I'm gonna admit, I wasn't happy with the 1.9 pvp update, in the beginning. Though, since I played more and more, I became more used to it and liked it more. It makes it to where you have to have more strategy when you pvp, instead of just running up to someone and wailing on them with your weapon. It would have been more buggy (I would assume) if they had done what other servers did by making it 1.8/1.9 compatible. Chunk had done the compatibility thing in the past for multiple versions and it would be one hacky/work around mess (from what I remember). After all this time, I feel that the full update was the best thing that could have been done at the time. Once again, you gotta change and adapt with the game or else you'll be left in the dust and in your old ways. I know that not everyone likes change. I'm one of those people, but I take the change in stride and try to keep up and make the most out of the situations that I'm put in. The only real way to accommodate for their score/leaderboard system is to play the game and learn what it takes to be on top of their leaderboards. As for the ones playing from the Americas (or anywhere not in the UK area), I'm sure that they will probably try to get a NA server up at some point so it will be less laggy for some. Though, for now, you just gotta deal with it.
I, too, am waiting for other Chunk games to make their debut on Cube. Especially DD and MW. I loved playing those in my spare time or if I just needed a break from other Chunk things. I'm sure that the Cube team has quite a bit on their plate and the Chunk games will have to take a back burner for a little bit. With those two games being the more played ones (since most of the others either lost popularity or were bugged horribly), I'm sure that one or both will end up on Cube in the future. Patience is key.
I'm not sure what else to even put in here because I feel like I went over it all. It may not have been said in the best way and others could possibly word it all better but, it's just how I see things at this current time.
