UHC was a different level of death. lol. It only had like 1 or 2 players per day without counting the countless winfarmparties

Battle zone had more updates in a month than UHC in years..

UHC died the day it came out, it dropped below 10 concurrent players the same day of re-release, Battle Zone only dropped because games were struggling to start.

Hello CubeCrafters!

It's time to reintroduce one of our funniest games, Battle Zone! Removed in our Big Change Update, it was missed along with many of our other gamemodes. But today, we're adding it back onto our network as a featured game. Battle Zone will be hosted as the featured game for 6 days, then will resume the standard featured game generation. Battle Zone will have the ability to be hosted again when the generator chooses it to be. It will also be added to the featured game voting.

Battle Zone has had some changes! It's now a 32 player game, with 8 teams of 4, Squad goals! We've fixed some bugs with backpacks, grenades, inventory and added improvements to chunk loading. We've have also changed the building blocks for stairs structures to become brick stairs rather than glass whilst the stairs structure are being built, this makes it easier to climb whilst building stairs. Due to the size of the player count being reduced, the border size has been reduced. When the game starts, a random 1000x1000 blocks region with important locations within the border is selected. This allows the entire map to be used and have the ability to be selected. We've also added more saddled piggies in the pre lobby, and you'll have a carrot on a stick to control them whilst waiting!

Well, currently Battle Zone as a featured game is performing better than BlockWars ever did (and it's not been out for long). As ever, we'll continue to monitor how our featured games perform so that we can make informed decisions about where to allocate developer time. I look forward to seeing if the community likes the changes that we've made to Battle Zone in order to make it a viable featured game.

I never thought I would see this game again!!! So awesome you have brought it back! One of the best well made games and probably my favourite!

Obviously I can't comment too much on this, but I'd like to see how the game performs with squads. While it is nice to add different modes of the same game, you do need to consider that by doing that you are splitting the community for that game up each time you add a mode, potentially leaving not enough players for any of the modes to start for large parts of the day, not something we'd like to do. So the answer to this is...if the number of players looks like it could support another mode we'll consider it, of course.
