Hello CubeCrafters,

Today we're bringing you two updates! BlockWars and Battle Zone.

Battle Zone: Squads
With the recent release of our newest game Battle Zone, we've been inundated with requests for a team mode. Now we're happy to announce that Battle Zone fully supports 4 Player Squads. The game works exactly like Solo mode, but you have 3 other players on your side. Squad Members also appear on your map just as you do.

Battle Zone: New locations and other improvements
The builders have been working hard and added 2 new major locations in the map. These locations are called "Misty Mines" and "Mall Madness".

Misty Mines is a huge industrial mining site, with structures spreading both inside and outside the mountain. The mines contain multiple types of Metal rich resources to help keep your Metal supply topped up. All of the Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Iron Bocks, and Gold Blocks are mineable and add to your Metal count. Have fun mining!

Mall Madness is a giant structure full of different stores which contain multiple types of chests, to help resorting your health, ammo and weapons. The Mall also has a car park which is filled with Metal rich vehicles and lamp posts. Happy resource shopping!

To celebrate the introduction of the new locations, higher tiered chests are located at them. Other locations on the map have also been improved. We've added more decoration blocks throughout the map, such as rocks and mushrooms. Numerous caves have been added, and some cliffs have been re-textured to complement the new locations.

Steep Stones has had major changes. More large stones have been scattered around the area, lots of little stones have been added in clusters and the biome type has been changed to Savanna. More chests have been added in the area with higher tiered gear.

A dock has been added in the lake along with crates of wood which you can mine wood resources from, and a raft has been added in the lake which you can destroy and receive more wood resources from. Keep your eyes open for a super secret Easter Egg added by @rubik_cube_man :p

Doors in the map have been removed (Thanks for the suggestion from @Gainfullterror), and air vents can now be mined as a metal resource within Shootout Strip. Issues with numerous stone resource locations not working and specific crates destroying parts of the terrain within Metal Mountain have also been fixed.

Other small improvements that have been added to Battle Zone include:

• On screen warning about teaming in Solo mode.
• Out of resource warning message.
• Improved building structure aesthetics (including building and destruction sounds).
• Assault Rifle has a been reduced from ammo clip 40 to 30.
• Assault Rifle has been rebalanced.
• Stats for Squad mode have been added and if you're unfortunate enough to die during the game, we let you know what position you came.

With the new areas on the map this means there's a new map of the map so here it is in all it's glory!

BlockWars 1.8
We've had a lot of requests for us to bring more of our games to Minecraft 1.8, we're happy to announce that BlockWars is back with 1.8 support. As BlockWars has recently been updated on our main 1.9 network, we've decided to bring it back to 1.8 as it's the most simple game to port back to join it's closest friends, SkyWars and EggWars.

If you want to join BlockWars 1.8, just start up a 1.8 version of Minecraft, join our network and click BlockWars on the travel compass, boom! Simple :p We're going to be looking to bring more games to all the platforms we support (Java Edition 1.8 and 1.9+, and Bedrock Edition) so let us know what you'd like!


We really hope you enjoy playing Squad mode on Battle Zone and BlockWars on 1.8 again, we'd love to hear your feedback and suggestions. Go have fun! Can't wait to see the future possibilities of our 1.8 network ;)

Mall Madness looks like the place everyone will be heading to for loot but also where a lot of fights happen.

Also can we please get 1.13 on our gamemodes (once 1.13 is released) . Also, I think Blockwars in 1.9 should be removed because its unbalanced and awful.

This update is soo good! I love this game. It's sad that the amount of players is dropping, but maybe you could make the timer start sooner? Keep up the good work guys!
