Ok so I came up with a couple little ideas for bedwars so I thought why not put 'em down.
My first is to make armour cheaper. Armour at the moment is 20 of its respective item and I think that it would be much better if it was maybe 12 of its respective item because that would make chain armour a little less pointless.
No. 2 is something that has been said before but idc. Make it so fireballs deal kb to the player throwing for cool usages such as fireball jumping.
No. 3 is to make it so terracotta CAN be destroyed by tnt but be resistant to fireballs but then add another block such as deepslate that would cost 2 diamonds a pop and would be resistant to tnt.
No.4 is to add a protection 2 in the upgrades shop that could possibly cost 15 or 20 diams. Also a sharpness version of this.
Finally is to make the return to home scroll better. Right now you must stand still for 5 seconds for I to work. I propose making it 3 seconds to stand still. Thanks for reading and have a great 2025!

I haven't played bedwars much but I think it needs some changes and you have good ideas and I hope they read these good proposals 💯

I buy chainmail sometimes as it can take a little while to get all 20 diamonds for iron armor. I guess it depends on a person’s preferences, as many players will want to spend diamonds on other items first (like team upgrades)

While I could see this idea working, I’m not sure how this would affect the gameplay balance, so I’ll say :unsure: for this one

I wouldn’t mind seeing a new mechanic like this in the game. However, if the knockback force of the fireball is high enough, it might be too similar to throwing an enderpearl. Unlike ender pearls which are more commonly used in late-game (due to costing 10 diamonds), fireballs are pretty easy to buy early-game.

The ideal way to get to an island in early-game is to bridge there, and the game seems to somewhat revolve around this method with turrets and bridge-builders. Just like with ender pearls, the fireball could be used to bypass turrets and quickly get to an island, but only at the price of 5 gold. This means that it could easily be done early-game

A player flying towards your island is going to be harder to kill than a player bridging, and the possibility of them doing it early-game could affect the overall balance. It might encourage speedrunning, something that CubeCraft’s BedWars is not quite meant for

Overall, this idea could work if the fireball knockback isn’t set too high, so I’m going with :unsure:

I think this could work, as currently TNT is not a very useful item :agree:
Most things that you’d typically use TNT for you can just use a fireball for instead, and fireballs are usually the preferred choice as they are ranged

I’m not even sure what the price for TNT is as I rarely ever use it, but if it costs gold or iron and is cheap enough, then the price might need to be slightly raised so that it’s not too easy to get

I could see Protection II being a good upgrade, but at the same time I’m wondering if it’ll make Deathmatch fights longer

Sometimes I end up in a Deathmatch fight where my opponent and I fight for a long time, and it’s especially long when regeneration helmets are worn and the opponent eats golden apples

However, the Sharpness II could help balance it out, plus the powerups would be harder to get due to their price, so I think it could work :agree:

I once tried using the Return Home item during a fight on another island, thinking the teleportation would be instant, but it just led to an awkward death xD

While it seems fair that the teleportation is not instant, 5 seconds does seem a little long. In that time, someone could run up to you and start hitting you (especially if you’re on the center island), and in that time span I could be on my way back to my island anyway. I only see the item being useful under certain circumstances. Overall, I agree that 3 seconds could work better :agree:

I do agree that 20 is a bit high when it comes to gold and diamonds, but I also feel 12 is too low. :disagree: I feel like 15-16 would be best.

:agree: as I always felt 5 seconds was unnecessarily long.
